This was so much fun to make, big thanks to both esdyre for the excellent prompts and the mods for pairing us! The pose is lovingly stolen from Renoir's Dance at Bougival, and Es's dress is lovingly stolen from a Granado Espada outfit because I've wanted to draw one of those outfits since Janine first cited them as an inspiration. It is especially fun drawing Eyeball Form now that I work in ophthalmology and know exactly which anatomical rules I'm breaking.

I somehow scratched my right eye—just the white of it, but I don’t even remember DOING it. Long red scratch, didn’t touch the iris. Knock on wood, it seems to be healing fine, but I’m trying to rest my eyes; they both feel kind of dry, and that can’t be helping.

So, to recap this week, I was getting over a fever from a covid flare after my pain block, when I apparently scratched my eye, rolled my ankle and managed to NOT fall down the steps again (but foot still hurts), then developed a stress cyst because why not, and then spent all week wondering why I felt “tired,” when in reality my body was probably like JESUS CHRIST GET IN THE BED WHERE YOU CAN’T HURT YOURSELF AGAIN. So that’s where I may spend this weekend.
