I wish there was a fanfiction about Ezio and Leonardo in their final years.

Ezio is married and he has two children Flavia is born in 1513 and Marcello in 1514. But Leonardo does not die until 1519.

And there's no doubt that he loves Sofia but Ezio is not monogamous he never has been and I don't think Sophia minds especially not when it comes to Leonardo.

He came first after all He saw Ezio through some of his worst times.

I'd love to see how he interacts with the children. Because you know he loves children. I'm deep down probably wishes that he could have had his own somehow.

I like to imagine that Ezio and Sofia go to visit Leonardo and they sit as Leonardo and Sofia trade stories of the ridiculous things Ezio has done. They laugh as the sun goes down and the children's eyes begin to droop.

And as Sofia sets the children down to sleep she pulls Ezio close, kisses him, whispers "go to him. I'm here every night enjoy your time with him"

And when Leonardo dies Sofia holds Ezio as he weeps. It is not often that he cries but when he does he shakes and sobs and it feels as though he could move the very earth.

And when Ezio dies and she lays him to rest she whispers before walking away "take care of him Leo at least until I get there"

Ezio always knew his family was never normal. However, the peace is short lived when people around him begin to die in what appears to be unrelated accidents and violent murders and Ezio begins to hear the thoughts of the killer warning of more death to come. Ezio, Leonardo, and Sofia find themselves thrust unwillingly into the mystery and it becomes a race against time to find out who the culprit or culprits are before more lives are ended. However secrets find themselves trapped the crosshairs of madmen and Ezio can only hope that he can return to a peaceful life alive, and not amongst the growing piles of bodies.

Set two years after Eagle's Vision. Can be read as a standalone, though some things may not make any sense.
