Summary: Warren tried CPR on Kendra’s dead stingbulb after the stingbulb swallowed poison. CPR cracks ribs when done right. … The autopsy reveals the cracked ribs. The authorities look closer. The coroners find traces of an unknown substance in Kendra’s digestive system. An investigation follows. --- AU of Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary. Or at least, part of it. 

Excerpt:

When Marla Sorenson opened her daughter’s bedroom door on that fateful day, she had no idea that everything was about to change. 

 It was late morning, and not like Kendra to sleep in so late. Sure, Seth was still in bed, but that was normal for him.

 Well, it was about time for both of them to be up. It was nearly noon, after all.

 “Kendra,” Marla called, tapping at the door before turning the knob. “I know it’s winter break, honey, but it’s noon! Time to get up.”

 There was no response from inside Kendra’s bedroom. Kendra herself lay asleep in her bed, eyes closed, face blank, still and almost unnatural in her position, one shoulder pressed up a little too high in a way that couldn’t have been comfortable.

 Marla felt a trickle of fear down her spine.

 “Kendra?”

 No response. Marla moved to the bed and laid a hand on her daughter’s ice cold forehead.

 Kendra wasn’t breathing.

 Marla screamed.

Okay, so the fairies really like the attention they’re getting. And the satyrs like talking to people. And there are some things that maybe the whole world should know, now that ignorance is no longer a protection. -- Social Media fic, post-Keys to the Demon Prison. Ignores Dragonwatch. Also features the social media accounts for several other preserves. Let's just pretend that Lost Mesa and Obsidian Waste are both back up and running and Mara and Berrigan have taken over, okay?

 have you guys seen that website for the conservator’s alliance? yknow the group that runs all the preserves and stuff?

 Anyway they have pages for what i assume is all the preserves, so i went on their world map thing and found the nearest preserve to me

 it’s called fablehaven, which is absolutely the coolest name for a magic preserve

 And they’ve got social media and contact info and stuff and

 I found their social media, and

 uh

 it looks like the caretakers, who appear to be on the older side, just… let their grandkids handle the social media?

 and those kids?

 are like?

 just going nuts?

 Look up fablehaven on youtube, they’ve got a channel and those kids are just fuckn going for it ig

 I mean kudos to them, it’s pretty neat

 that’s actually so cool i would love to do social media for a magic preserve
