BREAKING: Copper Age Infant in Italy Reveals Rare Genetic Lineage 🚨

Archaeologists in Faenza, Italy, have uncovered a 5,000-year-old infant burial with a rare maternal genetic lineage — haplogroup V+@ 72 — almost unseen in ancient Europe.

Discovered at the bottom of an abandoned well, the child’s teeth and bone fragments yielded enough DNA to reconstruct the mitochondrial genome.

Despite poor preservation, advanced analysis revealed the infant was male, healthy, and genetically distinct.

This isolated find offers a rare glimpse into Copper Age diversity and underscores how modern science can recover lost histories from even the most fragile remains.
