We probably met because I somehow stubbled upon the Mystic Falls gang and happened to practice magic.

I slowly became part of their little group and spent a lot of time learning and practicing spells with Bonster. 🙄

Friendship grew strong and we realised it had become more than that...

In the end, Bonnie let go of all the crap they put her into and we went away together to live our romance peacefully, far away from that cursed place! 💜🩷

I probably joined the scooby gang somewhere in season 4.

That lil' all romantic and sensitive poet of a vampire failed at killing me for whatever reason.

When he was rendered unable to attack humans, we probably bonded over the fact that I wasn't mocking him and really tried to help.

Somehow we ended up discussing our shared interest, writing. 🙄

At some point in his "triggered by the song" state, he came close to hurting me pretty bad and was devastated when he came back to his sense...

He hated himself for it because he definitely "couldn't bear losing me..." And the rest is history. 😌🥰

FAKE DATE with Leo. 🙄

Living with the Halliwell for some reason, I was escaping some previous demonic boyfriend. 🤷‍♀️

As the sisters were trying to find a spell that would work on him, I blurted out to him that I was not "his" anymore because I had a new boyfriend : Leo!

The lil' white lighter was baffled by the statement and awkwardly got along with it.

Let me tell you it quickly went down the drain.

Luckily, the sisters were able to get rid of the demon before it got too bad. 😅

I love new series, getting to know new people, and it is even better when you get cross-over, because you get some characters you already know and love as well! This has it all, single mom who has her walls up. Strong, silent, caring, cowboy from another state. A fake date needed, chemistry that cannot be denied, and distances that need to be bridged. These two were just…… comfortable and cozy, and while they had all the heat, they had all the emotions as well <3

"Will you please be my date to the annual Black Bull Christmas party?" Finral asks, running his hand through his hair.

"What?" His cheeks flush at my squeak.

"Please. I can't handle another party where everyone makes fun of me for being dateless." He steps forward, reaching over and squeezing my hands.

"Please. I am begging you. Be my date." I nod, unable to form any thoughts much less words. Finral beams, quickly pulling me into a hug. "Thank you so much." He walks into the hideout, leaving me frozen in my spot.

Finral Roulacase, the Black Bulls Flirt/~~my crush~~, just asked me on a date. A fake date. But a date none the less.

"Hey, I really want to thank you for joining me tonight." I smile up at Finral. "Thanks for inviting me. The look on Vanessa's and Gauche's face made it worth it." He laughs before squeezing my hand. I lean into his side, soaking up all the joys of being on a date, even if it is a fake one. He chuckles, his arm tightening around my waist. "You know it was priceless."

He stops us next to the giant Christmas tree. I am certain Asta is the one who picked it out.

"I really want to thank you for coming with me. I know this was fake but maybe." He looks away, focusing on an ornament. It was a little replica of Vanessa's cat.

"Maybe we can do this again, but real." My eyes widen in shock as I look up at the mage. "We don't have to if I don't." Finral tries to say but I shake my head. "I do!" I shout. "R..really?"

I nod, wrapping my arms around his waist. "Okay. Wow." He whispers, wrapping his arms around me. I hid my smile in his chest. I can't believe it. My fake date with him is turning into a real date. I pull back, smiling up at Finral. "Okay."

Dragged to the Wedding by Andrew Grey

Fairytale feel to a fake-date trope in which a couple goes to a family wedding. The relationship is fake, the girlfriend is not a girl, the boyfriend is not into girls, and the family is Montana conservative. There are secrets to keep, problems to solve, a wedding to save, family drama, and a come-out for one character that was not as he had ever planned it to be.

NOTES:

* This was an easy-to-read, quick-paced, fun frolic with some big issues alluded to and some that were tackled.

* I loved Daniel-Daniella-Lala in all of his appearances. He was wise, aware, knew himself, took no guff, and was also caring, kind, generous, and a person anyone would want as a friend.

* James, the brother of the bride, grew quite a bit in the story and began to come into his own. I loved his interactions with his sisters and how he became more aware of himself and others.

* Holly and her fiancé were good people and so was little sister Margot.

* Grace, mother of the bride, was someone that may have had a good heart lurking somewhere underneath all of her commandments, expectations, and pushiness…maybe.

* Phillip, father of the groom was…a bit nebulous but spoke his mind from time to time.  

* Weston was someone I would never want to meet…anywhere

* Interesting and sometimes “unbelievable” but eye opening and made me think

Did I like this book? Yes

Would I read more by this author? I think so
