AN : So after watching and re-watching Captain America : The Winter Solider 173 times or so, I realised that I had couldn't leave the story as it was for two years. So I began to plot and plan and cultivate this little story - which is all it is right now. As with most of my fics - this story will contain an Original Character. If you aren't keen on OC's then there's a back button on the top left of the screen that will take you out of this story. I own nothing but my OC, all credit goes to Marvel for their amazing stories and characters that I am merely borrowing. Any lyrics used are the rightful property of their writers. Summary : It's been two months after the re-emergence of Hydra. Bucky is struggling to reconcile the man he and the man he has become. Steve worries about his friend and is doing his best to help him in any way he can, but Fury is putting pressure on them all to find out how to gain information on the remaining Hydra bases from Bucky.
Rachel Reid is unwillingly following in her deceased father's footsteps. Hydra is not as dead as everyone would like to think and it's difficult to know who to trust. With S.H.I.E.L.D rebuilding itself, Rachel leaves behind the life she knew to help The Winter Solider regain a semblance of an identity. A world of lies, deceit and murder is opening itself up around the therapist and the Solider.
All the while a shadow still haunts Rachel's every dream. Rated NC-17 Triggers : Violence/Suicide.
