Muchas veces vamos tan cargadas de pensamientos, miedos y preocupaciones, que el corazón se acostumbra a mirar solamente lo que falta y deja de ver todo lo bueno que también tiene.

Y no significa que los problemas no estén, ni que todo sea fácil.

Significa recordar que, incluso en medio de días difíciles, la vida sigue dejando señales de amor y de luz para quien se permite detenerse un momento y mirar con más calma.

A veces lo que sana no es que desaparezcan todas las preocupaciones, sino aprender a respirar un poco más despacio y volver a conectar con las cosas simples.

Porque la vida no siempre grita sus regalos, muchas veces los susurra.

Y cuando logramos hacer silencio dentro nuestro, empezamos a descubrir que todavía hay mucho por agradecer, por disfrutar y por esperar con esperanza.

Finally got around to illustrating some of my book characters!! This is (most of) the family of my main protagonist Fio, a Red Clover Dragon! We've got Fio's parents: His Dad Garth and his mother Fauna, who is the leader of the family clan. Freya and Fallon do not have their feathers yet in the first two novels, but this will be their "adult" plumage in the third novel, which I'm currently working on.

One day I want to make full-body reference sheets too, but those will take a while to get done 🤔 Especially since I'm still missing Fio's aunt Agave, two of his distant cousins along with their mother and Garth's best friend Bakula. AND Asha. Goddamn. So many pink dragons to design...

There seems to be a lot of references to early season 1 Doctor Who, Nine’s run, especially with Belinda’s interactions - her speaking with Aliss about not knowing the Doctor gives such Rose telling Fallo (blue mechanic lady I’m unsure if I got her name right) she went off with a strange man she doesn’t know.
