Bethesda developing Fallout 4: Okay, so, time for the sequel to one of our massive RPG properties. People have been waiting years for this, and we’ve gotten a lot of feedback from the community from our first outing. We’ve even been able to have another company more familiar with the franchise make a game and set an example. So here’s what we do: we’re gonna underwrite this whole background for the main character, and force them into vague, unimpactful factions and decisions for the sake of, not even innovative, but just modernized gunplay and some watered-down Bioware-esk companions. Also here’s a half thought out unfinished settlement building mechanic. Money please.
Fallout Fanbase: This settlement building mechanic is cool because it’s one of the only pertinent ways to express myself and my character in the whole of the game. Some factions and characters are alright but nothing seems to really change or have an impact, on my character or on the world, except for the base visual change of what I build, so I’m gonna focus on that.
Bethesda developing Fallout 76: Need more money. Okay so how about we just get rid of everything people complained about instead of fixing it and just keep the stuff they kinda liked and also not fix it, PLUS try a multiplayer experience (without any type of role-playing tools implemented) that we’ve never tried or tested and will undoubtedly crash and have problems but not do an actual beta. Money please.
