I just personally really love the idea of Nick acting as a mentor to one or more of the other synths. He is Synth Dad.

Maybe it’s the fact that he at least acts like the oldest synth in the group. Maybe they feel isolated and think Nick will be able to relate. Or maybe he’s just cool. Whatever the reason, they gravitate towards him for advice, and he gains a gaggle of synth “kids”.

There's a lot of discourse that implies they are unable to reproduce (Deacon's affinity speech - if you believe him), and some super vague institute terminal entries. But...has this been confirmed?
Or did Todd just expect us to work this out for ourselves?

For those who think Detroit become human had wasted potential, or that fallout 4 was too hard on synths, check out binary domain
Binary Domain had (spoilers, heads in drawers etc) so much story potential, and could've totally topped Detroit bh 6 or more years before it's release. The designs are fantastic, characters are good but SEGAGames how do you fuck up what could be a turning point where these robots didn't know they were people and the hybrids are accepted instead turns into the US "not giving into racial" and going genocidal on sentient beings and leaving the charismatic possibly character opinion changing French robot to just disappear.
Maybe it's a comment on the USA, but such cool gameplay and style felt wasted. Even the mass effect companion thing didn't change or even do anything.
Btw if you're beating up a robot for not protecting your mom from your dad because it probably had a no attack protocol, why don't you take the bat to your blackout drunk dad who can barely get up?
I will say I've never heard of a romantic interracial couple call each other "rice farmer" and "Yankee" respectively while being so okay with it. These characters barely changed at all, he's still a racist and will make one exception for her because they had sex and get mom was just a glorified test tube baby incubator.

The railroad in Fallout had a point that synths are slaves but they still piss me off. Helping man made doppelgangers is just about the dumbest thing you could do, also, calling themselves "The Railroad"??? Really Bethesda????
