Fallout Release Date: October 10, 1997
On October 10, 1997, exactly 26 years ago from today, the first Fallout was officially released!

Fallout Wiki: Our founder is officially working on Fallout: The Roleplaying Game

Fallout: Multiplayer
Were you previously aware that according to Chris Taylor, multiplayer was one of the original Fallout's most requested features?
During development, he mentioned that they discussed a “simple deathmatch mode” that allowed importing characters to play against others via LAN.
Chris added that multiplayer “would have been a mistake” due to high expectations the multiplayer would have entailed. Multiplayer was added in Fallout Tactics, which he also worked on.

Were you previously aware...
That composer Inon Zur wrote the score for Fallout: Tactics? He stated he considers it "the birthplace of the modern Fallout sound."
He also said that "I cannot imagine any of the new Fallout scores that have not in some way been influenced by my score for Fallout: Tactics."
