In honor of my child killer post making an unexpected and dramatic revival, here's another cut perk from Fallout 2. It still technically exists in the game files and when applied it 1) does nothing and 2) is lost once you have sex with any npc.

This one seems pretty obvious. His entire canon relationship with sole is based on them sticking their neck out for him repeatedly out of sheer generosity and that's really the only thing that I can imagine would allow him to initially open up to someone. He needs a pretty strong affirmation that people aren't just out for themselves in order before he can start trusting them.
And, I know he's super money oriented, but I feel that once he's in an emotionally intimate relationship with someone, once they're past that inital roadblock, the material aspect would be diminished for him.
Coming in for second for him would actually be physical affection. Something about his Lover's Embrace dialogue make me feel like he's a really touchy, clingy kind of significant other. Especially after he losing Lucy, he wouldn't want to be away from his partner for long and would look for their physical contact for reassurance.
Also, he would awkwardly, but adoringly gush as the recipient of verbal affection, though I think he would be too choked up/emotionally constipated to return the gesture with any level of eloquence.

Looking back on that post where I talked about fandom de-aging Deacon, and used Bruce Willis as an example, it occurred to me that...
When Deacon's eyes are covered (via sunglasses) he looks EXACTLY like Bruce Willis.
Deacon has canonically undergone plastic surgery.
If Deacon knew who Bruce Willis was, he would 100% idolize him (or at least the characters he portrays).
Leading me to the crackpot hypothesis that:
??? Deacon DOES knows who Bruce Willis is and purposely got plastic surgery to look like him ???
