Harry and Sirius writing letters to each other because its too dangerous for them to meet. When sirius catches a cold and gets ill, Harry sends so many letters to him, to make sure he's OK, and looks up remedies and healing potions in the library for him.
Sirius tells Harry in his letters of the small gifts he gets for his godson, things that made him think of the boy. Harry's heart swells with love and appreciation as he's never been made to feel so special by anyone before. It means so much to him that he's loved by Sirius as much as he loves him - if not more. They have a special connection which transcends space and time.
When they can finally meet again after a long time, its the most wonderful feeling in the whole entire world. Sirius holds his arms out as Harry runs into them and they hug tightly, the widest smile beaming onto Harry's face.
"I Love you" says Sirius, and Harry knows he means it.
Just him and reader having a fun day in the snow with his siblings
Dont forget to pace yourselfs and drink water!
If this is done incorrectly than feel free to ignore the order!
Hello, esteemed patron! You have reserved Day 14: Snowflake, with our "special ingredient" being Jack Howl.
And thank you, truly, for the kind reminder to pace ourselves! The kitchen appreciates a thoughtful patron who encourages good practice. Your consideration is noted.
And let me assure you: Your order is perfectly correct. The combination of tough, practical Jack, the soft, rare flavor of a snow day, and the familial warmth of his siblings is a beautiful concept. This is a Manager's Specialty Pasta, infused with the pure sweetness of a Coral Sugar Parfait.
Serving: Snowflake
The unexpected snow had been falling since midnight, leaving the outskirts of the Shaftlands—and Jack’s family home—blanketed in a rare, pristine white.
You were enjoying the quiet novelty of it all in the living room, but Jack, who needed constant structure, was restless. He was attempting to do push-ups on the carpet, grumbling.
"We should be at the gym," he muttered, flexing. "This is a waste of a day. I could be training."
The chaos factor—his younger sister, Lola, and younger brother, Zack—had other ideas. They burst through the door, bundled in thick coats and scarves, their ears twitching with excitement.
"Jack! [....]! You gotta come out! It's so deep! We can build a snow-fort!" Lola shrieked, already grabbing your hand.
Jack sighed, letting his arms drop. "Lola, I need to train. The snow is too soft for proper drills."
"Aw, come on, Jack!" Zack whined, pulling on his uniform jacket. "It’s snow! It’s fun! [....] thinks it's fun, don't you?"
You smiled at Jack, shrugging. "A snow day is a rule, Jack. You have to participate."
He let out a dramatic, annoyed huff, but you knew he couldn't resist his siblings, and he certainly wouldn't resist a challenge.
Jack's interpretation of "building a snowman" was, predictably, structural.
"No, no, Lola," he instructed sternly, pointing to the lumpy, uneven sphere you and his sister were attempting to roll. "The base must be wider than the height, otherwise, the center of gravity will be unstable. We need a pyramid base."
"But pyramids are boring!" Lola argued, shoving a carrot into the snow-head for a nose. "Ours needs big cheeks!"
You laughed, already starting to pack snow onto the body. "Come on, Jack. Don't let your inner engineer take over. It's supposed to look fun, not seismically sound."
He muttered something under his breath about frivolous pursuits, but he did use his impressive strength to hoist the massive, slightly-lopsided middle sphere onto the base, ensuring its placement was precise.
The real trouble started when the snowball fight was initiated. Jack was, naturally, the target.
"Run, [....], run!" Lola screamed, ducking behind the snow-fort Jack had just declared "structurally deficient."
Jack folded his arms, looking stern. "I am not engaging in this. This is not training. This is a senseless waste of energy."
"He thinks he's too tough!" Zack yelled, launching a tiny, soft snowball that bounced harmlessly off Jack's bicep.
Jack let out an annoyed, low growl. He ignored them. He ignored the next one. He ignored the third one, which grazed his ear.
But then, Lola and Zack, with surprising speed, coordinated a final attack. Two snowballs, thrown simultaneously, collided perfectly on the front of Jack's face, scattering snow across his nose and jaw.
He stopped. He blinked once, his ears flattening, the cold shock registering.
And then, his posture broke.
He let out a loud, unrestrained, joyful BARK of laughter.
The sound was so genuine, so unexpected, that you, Lola, and Zack froze. Jack hadn't just chuckled; he had laughed with his whole chest. The sound of his genuine amusement was contagious.
"Alright," he declared, crouching down, his eyes glinting with competitive spirit. "If you insist on engaging the enemy, I will teach you proper strategy. Lola, flank left! Zack, pack harder! I'll take the defense!"
For the next half-hour, Jack was no longer the strict older sibling; he was simply a boy in the snow. He was magnificent. He was fast, he was accurate, and he was glowing with exertion. He only stopped when his sister tackled him, pulling him into a massive, snowy pile, laughing so hard he could barely breathe.
Later, you were both inside, sitting near the fireplace, sipping hot cocoa while the siblings were busy building a new fort out of sofa cushions.
Jack was silent, drying his ears near the warmth. You leaned your head against his shoulder, feeling the pleasant, tired ache in your muscles.
"It's slowing down now," you murmured, nodding toward the window. "Look."
You both watched the intricate dance of the remaining flakes drifting past the glass. One delicate flake drifted down, catching on the windowsill. It was perfect, complex, and beautiful.
"Catch one," Lola called from the sofa-fort. "Catch a good one, [.....]!"
Jack reached out his hand, positioning it carefully beneath the window, not to catch it, but to protect you from the cold windowpane. You leaned forward, watching the delicate descent. The tiny, perfect snowflake landed gently on the back of his large hand.
He held it perfectly still. You leaned in close, your breath fogging the air slightly, and together, you observed the precise, crystalline structure before it melted away to a tiny drop of water.
"Hm," Jack murmured, his voice quiet. "They are... more complex than I thought."
He looked at you then, his golden eyes soft and sincere, and he bumped his shoulder gently against yours.
"Thanks," he said, low and genuine. "That was... actually good. We should... waste time like that again."
A "dish" served with warmth, laughter, and the unexpected joy of competition! The kitchen is thrilled to have served this Fluffcember "reservation."
We do hope this Manager's Specialty Pasta is to your satisfaction!
senshi teaching dwarf! reader how to cook dungeon food
content - father figure senshi / found family trope / reader is senshi’s apprentice and adopted child fr / platonic relationships / pre-storyline
pairings - senshi & dwarf! reader
warnings - teeny angst with comfort towards the end / there are a bit of spoilers for senshi’s past
note - thinking about senshi taking care of the reader just as he was by his old party leader makes me so sad
word count - 570
✢ When you first met Senshi, you were heavily injured in one of the dungeon’s floors
✢ It seems that your party members had abandoned you, leaving you to fend for yourself against the ruthless nature of the dungeon
✢ However, when Senshi stumbles upon your injured form during his search for ingredients, he immediately assesses them and brings you somewhere safe
✢ He’s no healer but he may try to find someone who could help with your injuries— if his search proves unsuccessful, he’ll use his own knowledge to bandage you up and help you recover
✢ Of course, food is a must for recovery!
✢ Senshi makes sure to use the right ingredients that will help provide you the necessary nutrients for healing
✢ Considering the lack of meat in his stockpile, he’ll go hunting for some monsters that he knows will prove nutritious
✢ Coming back to your passed-out form worries him, but with time and care, you’re mostly back to your regular self
✢ You were surprised that it wasn’t a corpse retriever that came for you, but a local in the dungeon
✢ When you were told of the ingredients he used in his dishes, you were a little hesitant but couldn’t deny the rumbling in your stomach
✢ To your surprise, the food proved delicious and you couldn’t get enough!
✢ When the time came for your departure, you weren’t really keen on returning back to the surface, offering Senshi your company in exchange for lessons on dungeon cooking
✢ Senshi is surprised by your unwavering dedication to hunting and cooking monsters within the dungeon, but he can’t say no to a motivated youngin’
✢ He feels a little hesitant, to be honest, as he doesn’t want to risk you getting hurt since there were no healers around (unless you knew some healing magic, he’s a little less worried)
✢ But with your persistence, you eventually land a spot as Senshi’s apprentice, hunting monsters, foraging herbs, and cooking nutritious meals
✢ In the beginning lessons, Senshi had nailed it into your head that nutrition comes before taste (although taste would make it much more appealing to eat…)
✢ He emphasizes the need for food and water, rest, and daily exercise
✢ His stern behavior and caring attitude remind you of a father figure, teaching their child how to take care of themselves
✢ Honestly, Senshi sees you as a child, and as you slowly get to know each other, he sees you as his child
✢ He’s very protective of you, making sure you aren’t risking your life out on the floors
✢ You always tag along with him to wherever he goes, whether it’s to his little post where he leaves his vegetables, or the first floor to find some seasonings
✢ Senshi feels a certain emotion when it comes to you like he found a family (the fact that you’re a dwarf intensifies the feeling)
✢ He can’t help but reminisce about his past, finding himself staring off into space during some of your meals
✢ When you notice and inquire about it, you’re able to sympathize with him, giving him the comfort and reassurance that he needed
✢ In Senshi’s heart, he promises himself to take care of you, just as his old party leader did with him

Darius and Hunter spend time at an amusement park, and its all fun and games until Hunter expects Darius to just drink this nasty looking drink, just because he asked him to? What, he thought he was going soft for him? He still had his dignity intact, he was not going to drink what looked like vomit in a cup.
(He totally drank it)
---
“Hunter, I thought you told me that you were going to get us some tea.” Darius shook his head at exasperation, glaring at the two bright green slush in identical plastic cups. “ This isn’t tea.”
Hunter gave Darius a toothy, mischievous grin that had Darius regretting having ever trusted Hunter to get them both something to drink while he held both of their spots in line at some corny roller coaster he hadn’t bothered to remember the name of. “But it is!” He smirked, not noticing the only semi-playful glare Darius was trying his best to give him (it was hard to be mad at the kid, okay?). “According to the cashier, it's a human specialty! Apparently it's all the rage with human kids my age.” He smirked, leaning against the gray railings.
“Yes well, in case you haven’t noticed, we are both not human teenagers. Titan, I’m not even either of them.” Darius sighed. He was probably being dramatic but in his defense he was really looking forward to some Seawater extract tea.
“Aw ‘come on! We need to get in the spirit, we’re human today! Everyone here is!” Darius rolled his eyes, a small smile betraying his face. He had taken Hunter to a new Human themed amusement park and although he had initially been worried that Hunter would be a bit too old to enjoy going on rides with Darius for the day, he was pleasantly surprised by how happy Hunter seemed to be, beaming and quickly obsessing over the atmosphere of the park.
“Yes, I must admit that attitude is fun to an extent, but tea is where I draw the line, the human world is filled with absolute tea filth.” Hunter pouted, his hands clutching on to the two cups.
“Aw come on Darius, don’t be so stubborn! I bet you’ll like it if you give it a shot. It’s tea, kind of hard to screw up.” Hunter tried shoving a cup into Darius’s arms, who simply crossed them, refusing to look at the mucus colored goop.
“It’s not tea, it's a milkshake.” He swatted the cup as they began to move forward, “an ugly one too.”
Hunter stomped behind Darius, still holding onto his two cups. “It is not a milkshake, it's a blended ice tea. A Green Tea Frappuccino with Oat Milk to be specific.” Hunter smiled smugly, Darius almost smiled at how proud he seemed to be with himself. Almost.
“Oat milk? What strange sorcery exists that allows for oats to be milked?” Darius raised an eyebrow at Hunter who merely sighed and shook his head. “Just drink both, little prince.”
“Noooo,” Hunter whined as they climbed halfway up the stairs following the line and ignoring the strange demonic sounds coming from the strange, mythical human creatures such as a panda and a giraffe. “I wanted us to try something together! You know, adventure together!”
Darius looks over at Hunter, who is staring down at his tattered shoelaces biting his lip. His expression softened, bending down to reach eye level with Hunter who looked at him with a confused expression. “Fine then little prince, if you wish to go on an adventure, then I will follow eagerly.”
He relished in the way Hunter’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Really?” He broke out in a wide grin – it saddened Darius when he later realized it was the happiest he had ever seen the poor boy – and jumped up and down. “Oh this is going to be so cool!”
Darius chuckled as he watched Hunter carefully inspect each cup. “Well? Don’t make me wait too long, I’m becoming more and more convinced against this idea each second that follows.”
“Hold up, I'm checking which one has more.” Hunter smiled, squinting at both of the cups.
“Oh give me that,” Darius grabbed a cup out of his hand, playfully shoving him in the process.
Hunter snickered, “you seem awfully eager.” Darius rolled his eyes, and with a smile, brought the straw to his lips. “Wait!” Hunter poked his arm, “Let’s take a photo of us drinking it for the first time together!” He leaned his scroll against the railing on the floor. Just as he was about to scold Hunter for setting his dirty scroll on the dirty floor, he looked over and saw Hunter beam, yelling out, “Chug it Darius!”
They both took a sip on cue together, an eager slurping noise coming from Hunter. Darius tensed, expecting a bitter flavor but was surprised by the sweetness of the tea? If he was being honest, although he did enjoy it, it tasted much more like a milkshake than an actual tea. He decided against bringing this up as he saw Hunter’s excited expression, his cup already a quarter of the way down.
“Take it easy little prince, I don’t want you getting sick on me. This cape is new, if you vomit all over it don’t think I am above making you pay for it to be cleaned.” Darius said, lightly laughing.
“ISN’T IT SO GOOD DARIUS?????” Hunter chirped, slightly louder than what was socially acceptable.
“Yes, yes it us little prince, I should’ve never doubted you.” He smiled at him, the two of them walking to a cupboard where they were instructed to set their bags (and drinks, much to the annoyance of Hunter) before getting on the ride. Just as he was about to follow Hunter to their seat, he received a notification from Hunter’s Penstagram account. There he was, a small smile on his face sipping on the icy drink with Hunter who was slurping it excitedly. Captioned underneath the photo read, “Adventurous eats with my dad!!”
Darius was absolutely beaming on that stupid photo they took of them on the stupid roller coaster, making sure to frame that photo on the wall, making it the first of many family photos.

—
Leo woke up.
Covered in his own sweat, with tears pricking threateningly at his eyes, he jolted upright. He took in deep, gasping breaths as he tried to calm himself. It’s not real, he’s gone, they’re gone- he told himself, unable to believe his own words.
The crackle of a frantic voice coming through his arm piece, the aching pain surging through his veins, and one last snarky comment.
“..Hero moves are totally your style, big bro.”
He took in deep breaths, in, out, in-
The crack of his spine against the stone. The snarling, villainous voice of the kraang above him as he lie in the empty, torturous void. He was afraid. Afraid of death, afraid of never seeing his family again and yet- somehow, he knew he had to save them.He tried to endure every hit from the horrible monster- the kraang- which had lost its family too.
He had to get out.
Leo stood from his cot in the medbay. He was not supposed to be leaving yet, -orders from the old man himself- but he couldn’t stay here. Not alone- it reminded him too much of that day. That Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. He thought to himself, a bit of a smile flashing on his face as he tried to make light of the situation. Slowly, he regained his footing and stumbled as gracefully as his sore legs allowed out into the main lair.
It was almost empty in the main room, the old tv in the living area cold from being out of use. He gazed around, looking for a sign of anyone to talk to. He didn’t see anything, but just barely, out of his good tympana, he could hear odd synth beats emerging from his brother's lab. Donnie, of course! that turtle never sleeps. He trudged to his twin brother's car, not bothering to knock as he entered.
Hearing a noise from the entrance, Donnie whipped around, already lecturing before he even saw who it was. “Y’know, it’s a lot better for both of us if you knock! I like my privacy and-“ Donnie stopped in his tracks seeing the worn-out figure in the entryway.
“Leo? What-“ his face softened before being stern again. “You should be-“ “-in bed, I know, I know.” The slider interrupted. “You’re gonna act like you didn’t miss my little visits?” He leaned on the doorway, as if it were just his usual ‘bad boy’ stance and not because he was in pain from moving anywhere at all.
Donnie sighed. “At least sit down.”
Leo happily obliged, finding the purple gaming chair that sat by the large monitor in the room. “So, whatcha’ working on?” He asked, rolling the chair closer to where his twin was perched, sitting cross-cross in his lab chair, hunched over what looked to Leo like a hunk of metal.
“Just.. a piece of damaged tech I found. I'm trying to repair it.”
“For what?”
“Whatever it was used for.”
“What was it used for?”
“I don’t know.”
“How do you repair something you don’t know the purpose of?”
“‘Nardo, please get off my chair.”
Leo obliged, scooting away in the rolling chair. Donnie turned around, removing his goggles and relaxing to talk to his brother. “Did you want something? I’m kind of busy here.”
Leo sat in silence. He just needed company, someone to distract him from whatever awful visions would cloud his mind as soon as he was alone again. As he looked down, tapping the chair with his fingers, Donnie could tell something was off. Probably those damned nightmares again.. he sighed quietly. No harm in withholding his project, it wasn’t time-sensitive or anything, but this was.
“Nardo? Do you need to talk about something?”
He shook his head, still not looking up to answer the question.
“Do you.. wanna hang out here?”
Leo looked up, catching on his words for a moment. Strangely enough, he had never found it this hard to talk.
“..Yea.”
Silence for another moment before he continued.
“Got any good movies?”
“You know I do, little brother!”
Donnie stood, headed towards his rack of dvds. Leo followed close behind, rolling in the gaming chair backwards, leaning back to talk to Donnie.
“Little Brother? We’re practically the same age! We might as well be twins!”
“‘Practically’ is not accurate. And plus, we’re not even the same kind of turtle! How could we be twins, hm?”
“We were mutated on the same day!”
“We were all mutated on the same day, Nardo. Are you and dad twins?”
“Eugh, no— but we’re connected- somehow! We have twin telepathy, and you know it!”
They had had this conversation millions of times before, but Leo would never relent. They were twins, he could feel it, and he didn’t care if that wasn’t scientifically accurate.
Donnie simply sorted through his huge movie collection, not giving Leo the satisfaction of winning.
“So, what’ll it be? Jupiter Jim, The Lou jitsu collection, Rango, Jurassic park—“
“Rango. Rango sounds good.”
Donnie chuckled quietly to himself, before picking up the old movie.
Leo smirked, unsure why his brother was laughing. “What? What’s wrong with rango? I know you love that movie.”
“Yea, it’s just- seems familiar now, doesn’t it?”
“What do you mean?”
“Just- nothing. Let’s just enjoy the movie for now, okay?”
Leo shrugged, wincing a bit at the motion. He’d almost completely forgotten how careful he had to be with his injuries. He’d thought caring for his brothers was hard, but he was used to it. Being the patient was much, much worse. And more boring. He stood carefully, walking over to the bed with cautious movements. He eventually flopped down on the purple mattress with a huff, annoyed at how fragile he felt. Luckily, Donnie hadn’t seen his struggle, too busy getting the tv and DVD player ready.
“Okay, let me go get the candy, I know you always like Reese’s Pieces best-“
“No!” It came out more panicked than leo had intended. “I mean- could you just- stay?”
Donnie stared at his brother in confusion for a moment. “Um. Yea, sure, no problem.” He sat down on his own side of the bed, the wall behind them covered in pillows to make it more comfortable to lean on. Donnie hit the play button on his remote, and leaned back to watch one of their favorite movies. That iconic opening song played, and the narrator's band quieted down.
“We are gathered here today to immortalize in song the life and untimely death of a great legend..”
Leo had fallen asleep before Rattlesnake Jake even made his appearance, and Donnie yawned, about to get up and go back to work. He just needed another monster and he'd be fine- until he felt a weight on his shoulder and realized that’s where Leo had rested his head to sleep. Damn it, Nardo. You’re too good at this. He sunk back into the pillow pile, not disturbing his brother. Begrudgingly, he got comfortable. Might as well be as productive as possible, right? Sleep can be productive…
It was barely any time at all before the two were both snoring.
“…And while he is certain to die, perhaps from a household accident- which account for 65% of all unnatural deaths- the townspeople will honor his memory! ..Even as they lose their dignity.”
