PG, 800 words, famous!blaine and fan!kurt (i think tom hiddleston did something like this once, didn't he?)
They have probably been waiting for more than five hours with a large group of other fans near the exit of the Dionis Hotel, out in the freezing cold of a snowy say, but Kurt wouldn’t actually mind waiting for a whole week. It was the first time since his biggest idol, the person who inspired him most of all and gave him hope, the guy with the angelic voice who was literally his everything, Blaine Anderson, was actually in town.
“I’m cold,” Rachel whines for the billionth time, sniffing loudly, and Kurt hugs her closer to keep her at least a little bit warmer. He’s freezing too, he actually managed to forget his mittens at home, but he absolutely can’t hide away the photo of Blaine that he carefully chose for the signing, he can’t even put it back in the bag for the fear of it getting crumpled.
“If you really want to go home…”
“No! No, we’re waiting, Kurt!” she protests immediately, gripping tight at her magazine with Blaine’s photo-shoot on its cover.
“Good, because I’m not going anywhere until I see him,” Kurt says, determined.
Suddenly, the people closer to the exit start showing some signs of life, and Kurt immediately turns to see a crowd of security and photographers and band members and probably managers making their way out of the building. And somewhere in between that crowd, though he’s very hard to spot at once because of his shortness (Kurt can’t help but giggle to himself like a hopeless fangirl), there’s Blaine Anderson, with an amazing red and blue scarf winded over his neck. And despite the fact that his security is urging him to go faster, he stops and smiles and waves and takes pictures with and signs the different magazines and diaries and photos and even parts of body of his screaming fans.
As fast as he can, Kurt drags Rachel closer to where Blaine is slowly trying to walk towards his van, which is waiting for him. He desperately needs an autograph – even a scribble would be enough, anything that can give him a solid proof that he has actually been in less than a meter’s proximity of the one and only Blaine Anderson.
But a big security guy emerges right in front of Kurt, and he hears Blaine’s manager urging him to go faster, yelling something about being late for a meeting.
And just as Kurt thinks that Blaine is going to slip away from him, Rachel screams at the top of her voice, “Blainey Days, we were waiting for you!”
That seems to draw Blaine’s attention, and he turns to them, smiling a thousand-watt smile that makes Kurt weak in the knees.
“I see someone has read my interview for The Insider,” Blaine says, as Rachel immediately gives him her magazine, and even takes Kurt’s carefully enveloped photo for him, because his limbs have gone numb too.
“We’re big fans! We love you so much!” Rachel manages to say since she’s actually not as big a fan as Kurt is, who can’t even pronounce a word, “Could you take a picture with us?”
Kurt’s heart stops at the prospect of actually having a picture taken with Blaine, but at the same moment Blaine’s managers yells again to get his butt in the van.
“I’m so sorry, but my manager is going to murder me in awful ways if I stay any longer,” Blaine says, frantically signing other people’s things and looking as if he’s earnestly disappointed about letting down his fans, “I’m so sorry you had to wait in such a nasty weather for nothing.”
“It’s not nothing. It’s everything,” Kurt finds the voice to say, and immediately wants the ground to swallow him whole because it seems like the dumbest thing he could have ever said.
But somehow, Kurt’s words make Blaine stop on his tracks, and he actually locks his eyes with Kurt’s for a brief moment that makes Kurt’s whole body grow intensely warm, making him forget about his frozen hand and sore throat and numb-cold face.
“That’s the sweetest thing to say,” Blaine's eyes seem to fill with fondness, as he pronounces as quickly as possible, “It’s killing me to go without even a hug. The least I can do is give you a kiss.”
And to Kurt’s utter shock, he reaches to gently take Kurt’s hand and leans forward the slightest bit to place a fleeting kiss to the back of it, before being forcefully pulled away by his security.
“OH MY GOD,” Rachel explodes in squeals right in Kurt’s ear, who is standing with his hand still lifted up, “KURT!”
He can’t even turn to Rachel, his mouth is open in shock, as he stares wide-eyed at his hand, and right on verge of fainting his mind produces a single thought.
‘I’ll never wash my hand ever again’.
