I too am a converted fanbro. Saw the light about three months ago, and I'm never going back. I've learned so much about literature, storytelling and mythology: I feel smarter because of all the interesting analysis and metas. It has increased my appreciation for Star Wars tenfold. This community means so much to me right now, I'm rooting so much for you guys, because you're smart and peaceful and you've been unfairly made a scapegoat by awful and negative people online.

You don’t know how happy I am to receive this message! I’ve been here 4 years, in all the goods and bads of this fandom and it’s just so heartwarming to finally see people making peace with us and acknowledging the amount of intellectual, artistic and writing content that this fandom has produced. The Reylo fandom is extremely diverse but what unites all of us I think is a common vision of Star Wars and how narratives and storytelling works. Each of us brings something from their own world and talent to the fandom, and it’s why it’s so rich and fulfilling to be part of it. You’d be amazed at the level of education of this fandom, no kidding, it’s quite impressive. Do not think that we only have women here, we have some exceptionally gifted “reybros” too, which are amazing.
I’m especially grateful that people (as you) are starting to recognize the intellectual content but also the fact that we are a peaceful fraction just seeking to understand and analyze and just have fun with all of it. I was personally attacked by antis on different platforms and what most stunned me was the hate (I’m not from the US either, so it was not at all in my culture...) and horrible conduct that some people had toward us. I saw talented friends here leave the fandom because of hate and that was just heartbreaking.
But seeing your message and that of other converted fanbros is giving me hope that we’ll be recognized for what we’ve brought - and four years ago, when some of us including me saw Reylo solid and clear, we were not a bunch of nutcases!
Also...”in the fandom menace all people do is whine” made me die of laughter. You are so right!! 🤣
I’m more of a fanfic writer and so my contribution to the fandom goes more through my “meta-fics” (as a reader called them lol ) but there are some amazing blogs to follow if you need metas and analysis. Also, the artists are savagely talented and I think I follow all of them if you want tips :)
