Now that Avengers Infinity War is over... it’s exciting to know that Marvel intends to bring X-men into MCU and what better way that to merge the Avengers and X-men universe. After all, they both have so many entanglements in the comics, even though they are not reflected in the movies, yet.
This relationship in the comics is pretty sad. Rogue was once part of the Brotherhood of Mutants and was convinced by Mystique to absorb Captain Marvel’s powers. Which is why in addition to her absorbing powers, she has the ability of flight and superhuman strength. In contrast, Captain Marvel lost many of her memories, even which of some Professor X could not help her to retrieve. As such, they both never really did get along.
So the marriage of T’Challa and Ororo is considered one of the higher profile romantic relationships. Unfortunately, it did not last as they ended up on opposing sides in the war of Avengers vs X-men involving the Phoenix Force. It would be cool if they decide to make another decade of movies leading up to this war!
Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver and Magneto
In the comic verse, the twins are known more as X-Men than as Avengers. They are technically mutants and their father is Magneto - even though this was not explored at all in Avengers - Age of Ultron. On a different note, I just watched ‘The Gifted’ recently and turns out Polaris (who has same magnetic abilities as Magneto) is also his daughter. Looks like he gets around!
Anyone else rooting for a Avengers vs X-men movie?
