I remember seeing an ask here saying that Straight Juno never loses and fight and I just wanted to add on to that, yes he never loses a fight but the writers still want this very specific aesthetic of a hard knock detective despite being bad at the genre and Juno’s spitting out blood and has bandages on all the time despite always winning fights. It’s like this one text post I saw that went like ‘me: *spits out blood* I’ll never talk! / the people interrogating me: we haven’t even hit you yet are you okay?
his blood just really wants to get out there! see the world! meet some people!
In response to those asks that first said they Juno calls everyone old sport, and then that it’s too gay and he calls people bro and stuff-
Ramses calls everyone old sport
M'Tendere is played by a cis woman, and the writers wrote in them getting misgendered and" jokes" that are just using wrong pronouns that they genuinely forgot M'Tendere's pronouns and just keep switching it up
oh truly awful thank you
don't know if someone has said this but Peter tried to seduce Rita in the first episode which is set as comical cause straights don't know how funny work, and has the 'not traditionally attractive girl/gay coded guy' thing. also when Juno helps Jet and Buddy before his second eye removal it's set as a love triangle/square. don't ask me how.
im having flashbacks to the first time i watched mean girls oh man
TW fetishizing gay men, Rilla is very very hated by the (fujoshi leaning) fandom for 'getting in the way of their ship' as in Damien and Arum, she is written to be evil and abusive in fanfiction. i was lowkey worriedly expecting this when i first listened to SC but thankfully Sofie and Kevin know that they all have two or more hands. and no i'm not speaking from another fandom *cough Be More Chill) not at all (cough Christine)

Peter can simply not exist anything near who he is really in the Hetnumbra, like Juno is based off of the old noir detectives so he can just be that stereotype, that happens with lots of characters, but Peter either is almost never there, dies immediately, is being forced to be the more fem guy/homme fatale, or a woman
i love watching you try to like, make sense of how straight!tpp would work, spoiler, it wouldn’t
Vespa is shown as a crazy ex girlfriend and is shown to have tried to seduce Buddy to get to Jet. also the writers think that trans man means mtf and trans women means ftm and give her a storyline about how her time enslaved made her no longer feel like a woman, briefly questions gender by stereotypical crossdressing that is shown as perverse, then 'embraces the truth of biological sex' and heals, also either dates Peter or is his long lost mother.
