I am utterly disappointed but, honestly, not even a bit surprised. All of this perfectly fits with the rebranding of his persona and of his fandom that he has started precisely in 2021 with the resurfacing of BG.

This rebranding see him as completely locked up in the deepest depth of his closet and, for achieving this, he needs to be what an alpha straight male of his age would be (the toxic stereotypical stereotype): a chav laddy lad with an exagerate straight appearance that date the typical Barbie (the trophy wife to exibit) and that also happens to have a child from a one night stand, because he is a professional women fucker.

Larries have no space in this scenario because we are a threat to this. We constantly expose the truth and this is dangerous for this fragile fake façade.

I don't know what happened behind the scene that made him choose this way, but something happened and we have lost him.

I don't either know what this means for H's closet and for their relationship, but I guess we'll know soon with hs4 promo. Considering that I believe they are still together, this must have been a couple choice and I expect a big circus holivia-style for Hs4 promo; but we'll see.

Or maybe, they broke up and this was the last straw for Louis. In this case we'll may have a quiet stunt free promo for H and a even higher embrace of his queerness. Maybe..or maybe not. But in this moment it doesn't matter that much honestly.

Also, talking about toxicity: where was Louis TM when Liam, his brother, received the highest possible levels of hate online? Probably planning the dropping of his stunt paps on the day of the 6th month-versary of his death.

I never ever had imagine we could reach such a point, but here we are.

Most of the perpetrators of c*ntgate either went Harrie, suddenly stepped back from fandom cause... too busy, no longer fun or just deleted all together and if that doesn't tell you who was shilling for Sony/HSHQ I don't know what does. I remember it well,the attacks on anyone who questioned the roll out, the disparity or just expressed disappointment in the product that is solo H were bullied including accusing lgbtqa+ people of homophobia getting a lot of young people to fearfully fall in line

“you’re making things worse for every LGBT artist (by refusing to buy harry’s album)” was a particularly lovely guilt trip.

I’m confused as to what you and some of your anons are saying - is it that you think HSHQ is responsible for every larry hint to keep everyone happy? I’m not trying to be rude, I genuinely don’t understand what you mean.

It’s the push and pull— encouraging and rewarding antis and stalkers (with likes, follows, free Lane One tickets) as well as Larries (concert interactions, hints). Up one day, down the next day, a roller coaster.

It’s what casinos do— give just enough reward to keep people playing. HSHQ doesn’t necessarily favor one or the other (except they may have actual estimates of fandom factions). They want the whole fandom to keep playing.

In regards to industry driving some of the nastiness within the fandom, I wrote this earlier this year in January but never did anything with it. I created a tumblr page for it because it's long but if you're interested these are my thoughts. I've worked in the music industry as well as the sporting industry (international level) and some of the points I make, we actually used although we used it for good promotion not bad.

I have a question - why is it that earlier, whether it was the bears or the many smaller things that happened - it seemed people saw it as great, that H and L liked to communicate, that they wanted their side of the story as well to be seen. But now, if maybe they do something they want us to notice, in a situation where imo both of them have stories to tell beyond the public image, so many are dismissing it as HSHQ being manipulative etc. I don’t get it.

Because we wanted to believe that the gestures were sincere, and there were all the signs that the bears were playful, educational, and respectful. People who insulted fans (Kimmel, Cowell) got dissed. Harry and Louis benefited equally. They had our back, and we had theirs.

Now the gestures benefit Harry disproportionately. We’ve seen how Louis’ career has gone for 2.5 years— one has to be willful not to see it. I don’t blame Harry personally, but it’s apparent that these gestures are to pacify fans and keep Larries in line. Sony co-opted HL’s RBB-SBBness but overplayed their card.
