Some Fandom Love

woot woot, my fave event is here!!!

as you can guess, this year's been eventful to say the least. but i got to meet some wonderful peeps this year, and they get a shoutout today!!

starting with 2024's highlight, @hsslilly-blog !! laís, you're an incredible artist, a hilarious person and so sweet, and your creativity is outwordly, and i'm thankful i got to know you this year ❤

another highlight was @rjschoicesstuff !!! he's an incredible person, her art is just adorable and his ocs are just so creative and soo interesting in their own right!

then we have the latest one i started talking to and getting to know at our own pace: @gaiuskamilah ! jam, you're such an interesting, funny, unique person, and seeing your posts either crack me up or make me think about how i see certain books, and your meta is just sooo detailed and remarkably interwoven! just chef's kiss! i hope that this 2025 we can get to know each other personally 🫶🏻

and finally, to me, the ones i feel so much closer this year for a reason. as you know if you follow me closely, for years i have been open about my sa story and how my journey has evolved, but this year, after feeling for long that i was alone in my pain in this fandom, @aria-ashryver @storyofmychoices @jerzwriter and @aallotarenunelma (and ofc caro, who sadly deactivated) each came forward with their stories, and while it was challenging to read, it made me feel closer and relieved that i was not alone in my pain. aria's post gave me a much needed boost and made me feel like i had someone to talk to and lean on. i feel bonded to them in a way that cannot be explained, but now i feel more empowered and less lonely in my pain and feelings.

there are many more i want to give a shoutout, but i'll keep those for the next days 🫰🏻

So, I've reached a first milestone for me on this blog.

500 followers!!!

Would I have been on Instagram or Facebook this wouldn't be very much, I wouldn't be someone important, but on here these numbers don't define you. The only thing that is important is how you act around your mutuals and the friendships you gain from being part of this. To me this is huge. Thank you❤️❤️

When I really got back into writing on here and posting stuff, I never would have believed that in nearly 3 months I've gained more friends than in the time I was in school, I've met so many wonderful people on this platform and I wouldn't ever want to miss one of you. The fandoms have kept me sane now in the nearly 7 weeks I had to keep my shop closed and I will give something back as a huge thank you for you guys.

With being back at work I won't have too much time during the week at the moment, but I'll definitely think of something so everyone can participate and I can make you just as happy as you made me.

I think what imma start doing for fandom peeps is do trades. Idk why but when I'm commissioned by mutuals (especially if I love their work a lot) I clam up and get so anxious I end up not being able to finish the commission. This has happend twice and I hate that. But I love doing trades and having draw parties, writing exstanges exc...

I'm working on a one piece fic for a fandome mutual rn and it's unpaid work but that makes it so stress free and I'm actually enjoying it.

Anyways. If your a mutual and wanna do trades with no deadline my inbox is always open 😤

I have two new mutuals.

One is from the UK, one is from Israel, and I live in Michigan.

We’ve never met in real life, probably never will, and yet we’re able to scream together about how much we love fictional book characters.

Like that’s so fucking cool.

It just blows my mind sometimes.
