Fandom Problem #10,432:
You hate live action remakes because they are crash grabs. I hate live action remakes because their existence expands the belief that animation isn't a valid form of media. We are not the same.

Not really. Most people who push live action remakes try really hard to insist it's a better format.
Look at the Lion King remake. It was 100% CHI animation, but the director threw a FIT if people called it animated...even though IT COMPLETELY WAS ANIMATED.
And don't forget that fiasco at the Oscars where the hosts publicly bashed animated films and claimed they were only for kids over and over. https://www.capitalfm.com/news/tv-film/oscars-animated-movies-kids/
Nah. The people making the live action remakes are the kind of people who look down on cartoons. They also typically have the actresses bash the characters in the original

I don't remember for dire if I'm the one who submitted it, but just in case, I do want to clarify I understand both can coexist.
If it was me, I think I just wanted to put it in a humorous, memey format.
...Is it bad that I can't remember if it was me or not?

You can hate for many reasons. Don’t need to pick one. I personally hate the live action movies for both of these reasons plus there’s always discourse about some decision or another that Disney made that will interrupt my usual browsing experience.

Making a live action remake of an animated movie doesn't invalidate anything about the animated version, what are you on about? It's not about using a "better" or more valid medium or whatever than animation, it's about using a different format just for the sake of using a different format to further differentiate the two movies.
