sorry I haven’t been fandomposting. or just posting since I’ve got back

a lot has/is happening with my fandoms (drama, general changing, new content) and it’s. a lot

not sure if I’m as into Roblox as before, unless demo 5 comes out soon jt may just be an end of an era for my blog

on another note though, I have been getting into minecraft (blame sfawtde. my yaoilings) and poppy playtime (I still don’t understand what prompted this) but yeah

Crypt TV Update!!!

So I realized as I was returning to complete my overhaul of the Crypt TV Fandom wiki, I was NOT a good little Crypt junkie and I didn't give the latest update to this post! But there HAS been news on the Crypt TV front believe it or not.

TLDR: Crypt TV has been bought out by another media company that runs similarly to them. The new company seeks to revitalize Crypt's more recognizable monsters as well as create new original content for the CMU.

So as of January of this year, Crypt TV has been bought out by another web media company called Brat TV. Brat seems to do the same sort of thing that Crypt does, make media with the Gen Z demographic in mind -- except they're much more generalized with their stuff and don't focus on just one genre. They've got some good content on there, so I don't suggest blowing it off right away. Brat TV intends to expand into other genres to reach more viewers, and in buying Crypt TV is their way of expanding into the horror genre.

So what does this mean for Crypt fans? Well, Brat apparently plans on revitalizing some of Crypt's IP and getting their channels up and rolling again. Just to assuage peoples' fears, the deletion of the Crypt YouTube channel is extremely unlikely. The Brat execs plan to keep Eli Roth and other Crypt OGs on-staff, and they plan to revisit OG properties, specifically naming Sunny Family Cult and The Look-See.

It looks like the content launch is already beginning as well, because there's not only a new Facebook Meta series shot entirely in first-person VR, but we've had a brand-new Crypt video within the past week! It's a creepypasta video straight out of the creepypasta era starring The Mauler from Camp Monster and a brand-new monster, The Banshee! Since the creepypastas aren't exactly canon, I can't say for sure if The Banshee will be in any CMU stuff, but it's still a pleasant surprise after all these months of inactivity!

Fandom stuff - update

The Witcher Season 3: So, this will be the last season of Witcher I watch, for many reasons. However, I have not watched vol 2 yet, though will get too it soon. I loved vol 1!

Gwen & Art Are Not In Love: Okay, I finally read this book - bought it to read on holiday and got through it so quickly. It was AMAZING and I highly recommend. I get why I was seeing so much about it now!

Red, White & Royal Blue: I had NO IDEA what this was, but I watched the movie trailer anyway and it seemed fun. I have now finished the book (read it in one day) and it made me laugh and cry, so I will definitely be watching the movie and talking about it.

Heartstopper: SEASON 2 IS COMING ON AUGUST 3RD BABY!!!!!!!!!! It will be binged immediately. I am not sorry for who I will be when it's out.

AMC IWTV Season 2: That trailer did the impossible - it made me love Armand. I am SOLD. And I cannot wait!

Six of Crows: I finally finished the first book, and will be making my way onto Crooked Kingdom asap. These books are PHENOMONAL and I hope Netflix continue the show.

Good Omens 2: I mean...look at my blog. Look at my name. Yes I will be watching it later today (it's 2:18am here). Yes there will be spoilers. I will have a seperate post for it. I AM VERY EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fandom’s 2020 Recap and 2021 Goals

Well, I didn’t manage to do all the reading and writing I wanted to do, but I still managed to at least hit my Review goal and nearly complete my anime watch goal from last year, so I’m happy with that. I even managed a few extras here and there. 

First, before we get into new goals, I wanna take a quick look at the anime list I had set as what I wanted to complete before 2021, and how far I got.

With my health finally actually being on the rise and my motivation slowly coming back, I’m really hoping to do my very best going into 2021. If I don’t manage everything on my list? That’s okay. If I can complete at least one of these things in 2021, I’ll consider that a win. 

2020 has been an absolute hell year, but there have been some shining lights in this darkness. Here’s wishing we see many more shines going into the new year and continuing the decade.

1. thomas’s twitter updates

since i’m not trying to take @tstwitterupdates ‘s job, we’ll keep it brief. thomas has been blessing us with some pictures of the sides carrying pride flags as well as some awesome little short videos, and of course, being sweet as ever in taking his time to reply to fans. he released the high-quality version of deceit’s logo, which was revealed recently, and put up this video, the compilation of the most recent (sorta) short videos.

2. general thomas updates

he hit 3 million instagram followers! you go, thomas.

3. fandom updates

the biggest trend this week has been pride! i’m so down, by the way. a lot of people have been posting amazing fics and art of the sides as various different sexualities, romantic orientations, and gender identities. i most recently posted a fic starring nonbinary patton!

of course, you should totally keep writing, drawing, editing, etc, of pride month! sides. it’s an awesome way to show our pride of who we are, and i think that this is a worthy trend.

also, it’s been a topic that i’ve seen addressed, but you shouldn’t feel bad about giving the sides labels that people may not have thought of for them. just ‘cause it’s obscure doesn’t mean it’s not valid, and expressing your feelings through the sides is awesome, honestly.

4. theory discussion

um, today’s theory is the broken crayon theory! the theory hinges on patton’s most recent poster and the fact that the blue crayon is broken, which some famders thought might symbolizes more angst in patton’s future, the poor baby. 

more facts:

thomas made fun of this in a video where roman is drawing in crayon and accidentally breaks the blue crayon. 

my opinion: 

okay, i personally think that it may be a bit of a reach. don’t hate me, but i don’t think that it necessarily symbolizes more angst, because the kiddo has already had to deal with so much, like, jesus. but i may be wrong!

honestly i can’t think of anything else. um, the good omens fandom exploded, that was fun. not sanders sides related, but it happened.
