Naveen didn’t even realize he had a crush on MC till later on.

He just thought the first time he saw him and his heart fluttered, that it was just nerves of meeting someone new.

Then he sees MC in battle, like a lot.

He nearly has a heart attack after hearing the Absol MC has on his team was a rouge mega prior, and MC faced him head on!

Despite being “forced” to help MC face some mega rouges, he secretly would have offered no matter what.

As MC goes up the ranks, so does Naveen’s feelings for him.

He may or may not have been given MC some clothing made by him as gifts every time he goes up a ranks.

When he hears how MC became rank F…he still made as many gifts needed if MC had gotten to rank F the old fashion way.

He may be surviving on coffee ever since, and baffles how MC can stand eating Urbain/Taunie’s curry croissants.

When it came to MC needing to face Canari, oh did Naveen have mixed feelings there.

He secretly rooted for MC anyway.

When it came to Jacinthe, despite liking her attire, secretly hated her for stalking and threatens MC.

Corbeau? Oh Naveen was ready to go up to that guy and battle him after he made MC do all that work for him…but not before going after Urbain/Taunie for getting him in that position.

Come Rank A, Naveen honestly is sweating of fear as the events unfold.

He glared at Urbain/Taunie for asking for a battle to MC. The world might end soon, hello?!

Though he did have satisfaction of seeing MC win. If he loss, Naveen was ready to snap at Urbain/Taunie for wasting time and energy on a battle that could have happened AFTER saving the world.

But when Urbain/Taunie go to the tower with Floette…Naveen feels guilty yet slightly relieved MC isn’t up there.

Not that him facing that crazy weapon alongside Zygarde of all Pokemon didn’t make him want to scream.

Which he did after the whole thing was done, telling MC off for nearly getting himself killed back there…before pulling him by the very jacket he embroidered for this trainer, and kissing him.

Dating Ash would include….

Pokémon battles, like if there is space where you are, he’ll have the urge every time.

A nice nature walk works too, especially where he can look around in awe at all the different Pokemon.

His Pokemon will want to assets you, as they will not have anyone harm their trainer, he’s been through enough (maybe after a long while, he’ll tell you said stories).

If Pikachu jumps/climbs on your shoulder, you’re a definite keeper.

When it comes to romance stuff like kissing and all, it takes a while.

Usually it’s a kiss on the cheek, he has experience with that (he asks you don’t ask).

But he will eventually kiss you on the lips, but be prepared…it might take a lot to get it right (no seriously, he’s never done it before, it’ll be a while).

If you’re a coordinator, don’t worry! (Hahaha get it?) Ash will be your biggest supporter! No matter how many deadly glares he’ll get from Kenny and Drew if Dawn and May are in said contest too.

Plus he’ll always be impressed no matter what, and not just cause the outfit you wear makes you shine bright.

He might even join in for fun, as well as probably try to make a contest league where it’s a duo teams facing one another.

Look, whether it’s gym battles, contest, or something else, prepare for him to always ask to battle alongside you.

Also yes, your Pokémon ship the two of you so much. Even if you’re not a battler per se, they will gladly step up.

Win or lose, Ash will always give you a kiss on the cheek for a job well done.

And when he alone is battling in some tournament (idk as master trainer you really can’t stop the guy), he’ll run over to the stands with every win to you, and kiss you with such passion.

Yes, Brock might be in the corner super jealous and dreary.

Misty thinks it’s hilarious, and has already started a betting pool on when you’ll get married.

A lot have bet you’ll be asking instead of Ash. Because….Ash.

But big surprise, he does!

He might have to make it short though, as Misty and others will be chasing him down for money lost.

Only Paul, Goh, Kiawe, and Lana have guessed it would be him. No there will be explanation.

Also Pikachu will evolve at said wedding, and no not just to get a second dance with you, but this time on foot instead of on shoulder.

The Singing Hobbit

It was during when Thorin sung at the Shire that night that Bilbo remembered a song of he wrote long ago.

Bilbo had a beautiful singing voice, enough that he won a blue ribbon during a spring festival music contest in the past.

During said event, each contestant would write a poem that they would sing. Bonus points for ribbons were if said hobbit made music sheets for the spring festival musicians to perform alongside said song.

The year he sung this particular song, was the year after the Fell Winter. His parents died protecting him from a pack of wild wolves and wargs.

He hadn’t want to perform, but his cousin Drogo and his future wife Primula encouraged him.

They had helped him recover from his grief and pain during the rest of the winter.

When a hobbit dies, the family goes into a Mourning Period. Lasting until the first day of a new season.

No hobbits had ever died in the winter (unknown why), and few hobbits were born during the season (Bilbo premature / Frodo on time (to Drogo’s disbelief and Primula’s amusement)) that no one but him had mourned during said time, wanting to wait until spring to start.

So Bilbo performed, and rumor has it that everyone in Hobbiton could hear such a song. Bilbo’s voice carried in the wind some said by Yavanna herself.

Years later, Thorin and Company arrive at the Shire.

Some time far into the journey, Ori asks Bilbo about Hobbit culture and traditions.

Eventually leading to said annual season festivals.

Gandalf, having heard both Bilbo and his mother sing, mentioned of said talent.

Fili and Kili at once urged Bilbo to sing. The rest of the company was intrigued, Thorin thought secretly.

After much persistence, Bilbo sang his spring festival song.

To say the dwarves were shocked was an understatement.

It didn’t help that Gandalf used his magic to make Bilbo’s song come to life, an illusion show of the words forming literal images such as a fairy with wings.

Bilbo later explained he read back when he was a child that hobbits were believed to be descendants of fae.

The Company urges more songs out of Bilbo as they continued on. All but Thorin.

That is, until Bilbo nearly dies saving Thorin from Azong on the cliff.

Thorin, while recovering asks Bilbo to sing him the “spring song” as everyone seem to call it.

Bilbo had by now developed romantic feelings for the dwarf, and despite his still insecurities of his singing did as he was asked.

It was also said song that snapped Thorin out of the Gold Sickness, as well as heal him during the Battle of the Five Armies (no one knows how the latter happened).

And eventually, it became an instant tradition for every first day spring in Erebor that Bilbo sang said song before the dwarf version of a spring festival began.

Much to Bilbo’s dismay and embarrassment, and Thorin’s pride and awe (no matter how many times he’s heard it).

The Shy One (Bad Batch x Shy Reader)

Hunter:

He’s protective mode with you constantly.

Sure, he knows you can handle yourself, but you just look so exposed and open that he can’t help but pull you by his side.

If that means holding hands, a tap of the shoulder, he will do it.

Also he thinks it’s adorable how his voice makes you blush so much your face turns red as you stammer something.

Which may or may not give him the urge to do something more with you.

Wrecker:

He thinks you being all shy is the cutest thing.

He’s as protective as Hunter, only he may go a bit overboard without noticing.

Hugs you close like a grizzly bear, pats you on the back a bit too hard, and definitely can’t help but smile so freaking wide whenever you are with him.

He’s a sucker for the shyness, and he’ll do anything to keep you safe.

He also may like how red and shy you get when he has you by the wall, with his hand near your head as he leans down….

Tech:

He doesn’t really notice at first glance.

He just thinks you can tolerate his excessive talking. When really you just love hearing him talk.

He may stop at some point, and can’t help but blush and have a tiny smile at the way you quickly look away with a blush of your own being caught staring.

He’s very protective of you on the battlefield, and may help you become more confident speaking. Though that is usually cause your voice can be so soft and quiet that he can’t hear if your okay or not in battle.

He honestly doesn’t know who’s more shy in the relationship. But that just makes him want to know you more, open up more.

Echo:

This is Echo we’re talking about, he’s the most shy of the squad. So he gets it.

He’ll often give you encouraging glances, a shoulder tap, and of course give you compliments.

He honestly can’t help but be interested in you, though he doesn’t know how or when it happened. Maybe it was the quiet yet calming voice that first spoke to him that made him smile?

He’ll love to have small dates with you. Watching a movie on the couch, ordering take out, and perhaps more if he decides to not be the shy one and get some confidence.

Crosshair:

Oh Crosshair….where to start? It took awhile for him to get used to you being around, let alone interact with, but your shy but well meaning demeanor eventually wore him down.

He’d keep an extra out for you on the field, maybe throw a less slightly sassy comment at you, and maybe he’ll allow you to get to know him more than from afar.

He secretly finds you adorable all shy. Gives him more confidence for sure, though at times he wonders just why you blush at him for even just standing around.

Despite looks and all talk, he’s very patient and gentle with you (more so in private).

He won’t go the next step until you are ready, and besides, you blushing at him all cute like can fuel him anyway so there is no rush.

A Simple Meeting

(Bilbo Baggins x Thorin)

Thorin never felt the longing pull, the way the heart beats as loud as a forge until he meet Bilbo.

It was by accident they meet, Thorin was doing work in the Blue Mountains, but had to head to Bree for some supplies. The Shire having a huge festival that day halted that.

Thorin knew Hobbits were known for their small size as dwarves, but he hadn’t actually seen a hobbit with his own eyes until hundreds of them were running around in the small area.

The summer festival was a classic festival of other species and cranked to eleven with hobbits involved.

Thorin couldn’t even get through the crowd without some pebble and said pebble’s friends trying to stand on his boots like they were trying to control his every move.

In reality, they were just wondering why his feet had leather instead of fur.

“Come on everyone, let the poor dwarf through now.”

Thorin looked away from the pebbles by his feet, to see the most usual being he’s ever seen.

He’s heard hobbits have a classy sense of fashion, competing with elves if the eyes could be blinded from looks alone.

This hobbit wore a simple green sweater (his eyes were shining like copper!) with a pair of shirts that showed off his lean calves (Thorin did hear hobbits were mostly farmers, but surely with how he’s heard how much they eat, how can one be so beautiful?!).

“My apologizes good sir, the faunts here are very curious to those that travel through here. Not many do, so it’s a welcoming surprise none the less.”

Thorin was a prince from birth, with experience in many battles, and yet thus hobbit seem to freeze him on the spot without drawing a weapon.

“It is fine. I’m simply traveling to Bree, it will not take long.” And yet, Bilbo could only look around shaking his head, “Oh no good sir, you won’t make it there in this crowd alone, not until it gets dark.”

With that, Bilbo shoos off the faunts, grabs Thorin’s hand (the hobbit’s hand is so soft!) and lead him through the crowd as swift as a warrior would in battle against an army.

Thorin eventually got his mouth working, including introducing himself to the hobbit named Bilbo.

He honestly forgotten how easy a conversation can go, how interesting and fun, without being from family or some fellow warrior.

Eventually they made it to the borders of the Shire, a pathway towards the small forest Bilbo explained was a straight forward path to Bree in just half an hour give or take.

Thorin was about to thank the hobbit, when suddenly there was a crowd back in the direction of the Shire looking down on them.

And unlike the faunts, these looks were of disgust and hatred. Thorin knew too well such a look to miss it. He honestly couldn’t imagine Bilbo having such a nasty look.

But all thoughts stopped when he saw how pale Bilbo looked beside him as he stared back to the crowd.

“Look everyone! Mad Baggins has decided to become a dwarf!”

Insults, taunts, words that Thorin never thought could come out of such small, soft creatures.

His arm was going to his sword on his belt before he even knew it, only for a small hand to stop him from taking it out of the hilt.

“Forget it Thorin….just, get going before the sun sets.”

Thorin’s heart broke at such a defeated tone in his voice.

Bilbo simply gave him a smile, one Thorin knew of having shown himself to others. The one that never reached one’s eyes, the one that was shielding the pain.

With that, Bilbo simply walked back to the Shire, past the crowd who seem to follow him as he walked towards the group of small hills towards a small house (Thorin swore hobbits called homes something else but couldn’t remember from Balin’s diplomacy lessons).

Thorin could only walk towards Bree, his thoughts not on the supplies needing to be picked up, but the hobbit that gave him something he hadn’t had in years. A moment of peace.

Thorin didn’t see Bilbo for weeks after, not just because he didn’t need supplies from Bree at the moment.

He had managed to find Bilbo’s home once after a few days of knocking on the wrong door (they all looked them same didn’t they see that?!), but nothing but silence seem to be appearing.

Thorin didn’t see Bilbo until the next summer festival, and by then, Thorin honestly couldn’t stand not again once he saw the poor hobbit.

Bags under the eyes, paler skin that seem to hinder in the sunlight, and eyes that showed pain Thorin was all too familiar with, yet this look on Bilbo just felt sickening.

“Bilbo, what happened?”

Bilbo shook his head, his cooper hair sticking to his head rather than blowing the breeze last time saw him, “It’s not respectful or proper for a hobbit to be anything but, and yet….Mad Baggins they call me, is in love with a dwarf.”

Thorin honestly didn’t know whether he should go give said hobbits the taste of sword instead of pie, or give Bilbo the love he deserves right now.

He decided the other hobbits could wait, Bilbo wasn’t going to be hurt any longer if he had anything to say about it.

So despite the glares, the taunts, the insults, this pair of lovers just walked on by hand and hand as if nothing could stop them.

hey so how do you think Pokemon James would deal with having a s/o who got a new pokemon recently. You know how pokemon love to affectionately headbutt James. Well, his s/o pokemon pops out of its pokemon and affectionately headbutts him. S/o’s like “Sorry. He’s affectionate. I’ve never seen him headbutt someone before though” basically this pokemon approves of him waaay too much?

Affectionate Pokémon - James X GN Reader

Reader just happen to catch a Quagsire one day with James cheering on the sidelines.

After healing up the water/ground type, said mon couldn’t help but headbutt James in the chest.

“What in the?!”

James meanwhile was at a mix of nostalgia and humor as he just shakes his head and pats Quagsire on the head.

“Another one? Guess things never change.”

James explains to Reader of the many, many times he’s been head-butted, bitten, and more by many of his Pokémon.

Reader isn’t sure if their boyfriend is super human or insane.

At least Quagsire liked him enough, and now just laid down on the ground as James give him head rubs.

Reader may or may not have been extremely jealous.

James could tell though, and offered his other hand to them.

“Want to cuddle?”

Maybe they should get more affectionate Pokémon, reader would think later.

hey so how do you think Pokemon james would deal with a sort of enemies to lover trope. I say sort of cuz I’m thinking how whenever Jesse and Meowth aren’t around, Jesse and Meowth can get fiery and tend to stick their foot in their mouth a lot, they kind of stoke drama into his crushes and James friendship at the start of their interactions. Then this crush and James have a pretty fun, helpful and harmonious friendship when it’s just the two of them together when he gets separated from the other two by accident. Crush decides to help him get back to them. Once crush decides they kind of like James despite being enemies, Whenever the group shows up and crush happens to be nearby, crush friendly waves at him and ruins the trio motto mid chanting everytime, “hi James! How have you been?” James is trying to stay in evil mode, but then They get to chatting while Meowth and Jesse are just like “what the hell?! Man! We were just doing our villain thing” ?

You and James would meet while on the road.

James in Team Rocket, you as a Pokemon Trainer taking on the League.

So it didn’t take long before you meet.

Before going after a certain Pikachu, James had spotted you with an (*insert fav Pokémon*) and just had to steal it!

And no, he hadn’t looked said way thanks to your coincidence good looks.

After a couple of battles here and there, some James even managed to win (couldn’t steal in the end because Jessie was too upset about her messed up hair or saw a good eatery she just had to go to.).

You didn’t see one another for years later, and the spark of battle still rose within the two of you.

James didn’t want to admit it years later, but he could tell he was clearly outmatched here. And he’s faced the twerp!

Btw you and Ash would be total besties and rivals at one point, so perhaps James got flashbacks of past battles with you if he just happen to hear Ash talk about your latest battle.

Well he still tried his best, but honestly he failed bad.

It wasn’t till he had to say goodbye to Cacnea that something changed.

You actually tried to talk with him, care for him (much to Jessie’s dismay as she had already done that thank you!), and for once the flame within him sparked for a different reason that day.

From then on, you and him had a friendly rivalry, and even meet in secret sometimes to just hang out normally.

Meowth of course knew first hand of said meetings, but just let it be. After all, he could see the look in James’s eye talking to you and laughing, and could use that to make a bet with Jessie.

Who would confess their love to one another first? Meowth had big money on you, so let’s see how it went!

It took more years to go on that it finally happened, but once the trio left Team Rocket, they went into hiding in Alola, with a few trips to Galar if they felt they were about to be caught.

That’s where he meet you once more; and well, you just happen to catch an Applin the day you meet each other in the eye.

It took Meowth a while to get James to not only tell him the significance of said trade, but also help him catch an Applin in exchange.

He might of boasted that James was lucky he helped, as he happen to catch a shiny one.

So the trade was made, and it might of ended with a kiss.

“Pay up Jessie!….Ow!”

Brief Backstory

Not much is known of her past before AZ found and adopted her.

She has a special gift to understand Pokémon speech, which has helped her make friends with many of the wild Pokémon that roam the city.

She can be seen as very reserved and quiet to many at first.

Before AZ, she never interacted with any humans, just Pokémon.

But she learned how to speak human and know other things like math and reading and more.

Her team consists of some of the Pokémon she befriended through the years since AZ moved to the city and made Hotel Z.

While she loved her Papa and Floette, she couldn’t agree to join Urbain, Lida, Paxton, and Naveen in the Battle Royale.

Something about the whole thing felt off, and not just because of the lack of a rulebook and officials.

In the past, a few years in the city, her and AZ were jumped one day by a Team Flare grunt.

He wasn’t no ordinary grunt, and was the reason Clover has a scar over her right eye.

He also hurt AZ bad enough that he had to use a cane from then on.

She has since hated Team Flare, and vows to one day hunt down the grunt from all those years ago, and put him behind bars.
