Trying to iron out the intro bit for this piece. It's tough to keep it all clean. I'll get it!! . This is my Ibanez RG1M8MH Fanfrets 8 string, tuned to Drop E, going through the Peavey ValveKing 100 (down to 25w) and Schecter Hellraiser 4 12 cabinet. . . Signal Chain: Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner, Morley Volume Pedal, MXR Micro Amp, Boss LS-2 Line Selector, Ibanez TS9DX Turbo Tube Screamer; in the effects loop: MXR Black Label Chorus, MXR KFK Ten Band EQ, Electro Harmonix Silencer Noise Gate, Boss RV-6 Reverb. I also have two TC Electronic Bona Fide Buffers, one on each board. This is all into the lead channel on the amp, Gain on 6, Volume on 2. This is a piece of the opening track from the upcoming "Fire" EP from Davy Be. A Sunday afternoon practice session. I'm trying to iron out the rough edges before I track this baby. Really happy with this Harley Benton fanfret 8-string. Having the additional low B and F# gives me more range to play with. The fanned frets are really comfortable to use. Absolute bargain at £159. Just got this back today after a fees setup by Brian at Secret Guitars! The fret ends were sharp and need some intonation work. He hooked it up beautifully. So I thought I would play it a bit. It's been awhile, and this thing is a little tough to wrangle when you've been playing mostly six strings. Anyway, this is an intro but I've had for a long time, and I will place it somewhere, probably with an instrumental proggy piece or something. Lots of plans, hope there's enough time! 😅😅👍 . . I started a SoundCloud channel, under Davy Be, where I will upload demos of the songs as they get closer to release. I have two demo versions of songs up there now, both still works in progress. . .
