So for those who don't know, I make chainmail as a hobby/half-assed side hustle. I'll probably be posting a little more about that as I ease my way into 'what even is social media for selling shit' because even though this is Tumblr and the term 'algorithm' doesn't apply here it's still dipping my toe in the water, as it were.

Anyway

All that is to say that I was dicking around yesterday making a few maille-men [listen I love me a good visual pun] and because I have been on a DC Green Lantern kick I decided to try and make Hal.

And, uh.

Then I had to make the other three to keep him company.

Had a table at a local [and tiny!] TTRPG convention this past weekend to sell my chainmail, and didn't do too badly [Just under $500 for a seriously, so small convention crowd is Not Bad okay, and that's after making back my table fee] but I realized something.

One of the sets I have up for sale functions far more as a display piece and free advertising for @goodmorningevildoers and I am okay with this; actually had three people pull the podcast up and follow it while at my table after I told them about it.

A Little Help Here?

I know a lot of folks in dire need are asking for help right now, and I hesitate to join my voice to the throng, but I could use the assistance.

My name is Kei. I recently made it to the finals of the World Karaoke Championship, which is being held in Las Vegas the second week of November. This is my first time even trying for a contest like this, so to make it this far is a huge deal for me. The trick is that I have to pay my own way in terms of travel, plus room and board. My worst-case-scenario budget is $1500 to cover all of it with a little breathing room.

I'd appreciate it if y'all could toss a little help my way. Donations are very welcome and much appreciated, but! I also make chainmail and would love to sell you some! Some examples of my work are below the cut - to save dashboards everywhere - along with a basic price list, and I am willing to ship internationally, though I apologize in advance for the shipping costs for that.
