It had been a bit of a fright, but all the potion did was knock out Arlo. Other than that, he was unarmed. When he came to, Fannar had already moved him to bed and a picture he was all too familiar started playing again.

Arlo: I'm sorry.

Fan: You don't need potions of plentiful needs. I cook for you everyday, I pay a nurse to watch over you. You have everything you need, I provide you everything you need.

Arlo: I just to do something useful.

Fan:... Arlo.

Arlo: I just want to help you. Be... less of a chore. So you don't need to cook for me or you don't need to pay a nurse. I want to be less of a burden.

Fan: You're not a burden. I love you and I will always care for you.

Arlo: I cause nothing but trouble. I'm a mess.

Fan: Yes, but you're my favourite mess to deal with.

Arlo chuckled: That doesn't help much...

Fan: One year ago you couldn't talk or move on your own. It takes time Arlo, be patient. For me?
