The best thing about fanwork creation is that there are no rules to what you can create! And I fully recommend it to anyone who thinks they can't write or draw – it's a great way to take part in fandom, and learn to exercise your creative muscle.

Here, I'll recommend a few of my favourites!

A very angsty AA epistolary time loop fic. I have never seen this combination before – it is genius.

Gasoline by @garrideb

A comics fanvid set during the run on Iron Man when Tony was the Director of SHIELD, had his Extremis powers, and was frequently hallucinating the ghosts of his dead friends. The song is "Gasoline" by Halsey.

I suspect Director of SHIELD (plus Avenger/Invaders) is always going to be an absolute fave comics run for me. But I can't read it every week. I can however, watch this video. Perfect song, perfect pacing. And the angsty SteveTony of it all is not remotely exaggerated in the vid. Those are the actual panels and speech bubbles. Tony really is my mentally ill computer-brained king.

It almost felt like one of those mishaps where a wrong direction somehow leads to an area you didn’t know existed, but where you kinda wanted to stay at, or like doing a math question wrong, but getting the right answer anyway. Which, as Loona kept that all too sexy and satisfied smirk on her lips, inching closer and closer, made Octavia almost just wanted to accept her fate. Accept that she was going to share her very first kiss with Loona, her maybe future step-sister. Her hand on another girl’s breast as the ghostly imprint of a collar stung the feathers around her neck.    —
