I'll be perfectly honest, I miss that big trend from back when I was in HS of people retelling fairy tales and folklore, as fanfics and original fannish fiction.
This is entirely me trying to get more people on board with bringing that trend back. Because I think its a fun thing to do!
If this becomes more of a thing I HIGHLY ENCOURAGE people making more bingo boards. Because I only have so much knowledge in my head and at my fingertips, and I absolutely KNOW there are gaps in what I picked for the 24 pairs of fairy tales for this particular bingo board. I am only human.
All credit for encouraging me to do this goes to @annadante.
Rules:
Do what you want!
Have fun! (This is the most important rule. I mean it.)
Be Kind to each other!
Try and get a BINGO.
Optional: TAG ME WITH THEM.
(HIGHLY recommended: put them as individual fics in a series on Ao3, instead of one big mega work that is hard to find things in.)

I don't think people get all fanfiction is made from spite. It's all literally made in spite of canon.
Which means even the nicest, chillest, and forgiving fanfic writer has a bit of spite in them.
I feel like this common thread of spite is why fanfic writers respond to 'please update' comments with 'and now I will work on literally anything else but this'.
Promt: Day 15 - Hospital AU
Fandom: The Old Guard
Listen, often working with a writer is like working with an absolute monarch. The fact that we ask for advice don’t always mean we need or follow that advice. Yes, sometimes we’re going to go through with our initial plan even after hours of brainstorming.
Yes, we may be jerk.
We’re sorry.
