Seth turns a psychiatrist to help Fareed in his work on the physiology and psychology of vampires.

Lestat is the most enthusiastic. He LOVES scientists AND talking about himself. The first time he loses composure and terrifies the doctor he sends a new couch as an apology. A very beautiful Louis XV chaise longue with cabriole legs and patterned light blue silk upholstery.

Louis unintentionally spellbinds the doctor with his beauty. Sadness suits him so well. He’s so elegant and heartbreakingly human, seated on the ridiculous piece of furniture Lestat sent. No progress is made.

Armand refuses to speak to him, but the doctor’s notebooks are full of his thoughts on Andrei/Amadeo/Armand. It’s his obsession. He daydreams about meeting him while pretending to listen to Marius talk about his anger at Pandora, or whoever it is (unfortunately not Armand) that he’s too proud to admit to having wronged, this week.

Vampire Chronicles Vampire Dads & Father Figures, Unranked

Lestat-

Buys all the gifts for his nieces and nephews until they get killed in the French Revolution.

Turns a five year old to keep his latest fledgling from leaving. Showers the kid with little girl luxuries like dolls, clothes, piano lessons. Does not acknowledge that her mind is becoming adult.

Materially provides for his ward Rose, but stays out of her life. Is so out of contact with her that Seth and Fareed show up with Viktor in tow to her distress call instead.

Is ignorant of his clone son Viktor's existence because he never thought to follow up on whether his vampire sperm worked after Seth and Fareed conducted experiments.

Showers Rose and Viktor with love once he sees them again as adults.

Lestat, AMC show:

Teaches her how to hunt in lover's lane and how to drive. Plays chess with her.

Gives her family jewels.

Makes her watch the boy she killed burn when she got carried away while making out.

Does not teach her how to properly hide bodies or how vampires are made.

Doesn't tell her the vampires in Paris are ruled by a vampire who is mad their situationship didn't work out and -

Doesn't tell her about any of the vampire laws he violated in making her that would put her in danger

Attempts to choke her out when she wants to take Louis with her. Beats the ever living shit out of Louis in front of her, forcing her to devote herself to vampire rehab and feeding for years.

Tracks her down on the train with a decapitated conductor and drags her back home, taunting her about being vampire raped. Says it's to protect her.

Doesn't tell her that sharing blood with other vampires can give give them access to their thoughts

Never actually physically protects her from stronger vampires

Louis-

makes another vampire for the vampire stuck in a five year old body so he can go make out with his Rebound boyfriend.

Conducts a seance to talk to his vampire baby, vampire baby attempts to cut him.

Rescues Rose from the abusive school.

Tries to explain why you shouldn't be a vampire to Viktor and answers questions Rose asks.

Louis, AMC show-

Begs Lestat to turn a 14 year old instead of just healing her with blood?

Takes her out row boating and tries to explain what love between men is, "It's like love."

Tells her not to eat cops.

Throws birthday parties.

Does not teach her how to properly hide bodies or how vampires are made.

Chokes her out when she tries to burn Lestat's exsanguinated body.

Doesn't actually physically protect her from other stronger vampires, ever

Delegates hard parenting to Lestat.

Doesn't tell Claudia that his hallucinating Lestat is so out of control that Armand knows that Lestat is their maker, that he confessed to killing Lestat and that killing your maker is a vampire crime that earns vampire death and lets her join the Children of Darkness

Actually denies to her face that Armand would threaten her with their knowledge and immediately makes it social media official with Armand

Just makes her a new companion because he's tired of searching for love on vampire grindr so he ignores Armand's red flags

Just sprawls her diaries out in the open for anyone visiting the apartment to see.

Armand-

has a young boy pet Denis he feeds on and then kills.

Showers Benji with vampire wealth (a trust) and wants to educate him at private schools. Unclear what happens after Marius turns him.

(Not including Sybelle because she's an adult and it's so obvious Armand thinks of her as his autistic girlfriend --otherwise all his references to her breasts are just weird)

Armand AMC

Has Claudia perform a minstrely Baby Loves Windows for 500 times reenacting Louis's trauma every night and is told to wear the dress indefinitely

Tells her she can't have any friends outside the coven

Keeps telling Louis/Madeleine/her/anyone she will definitely kill herself one day like he's just speaking from experience or maybe he's helping nudge along a self fulfilling prophecy?

Threatens her over getting away from Lestat

Dude, you are fighting a dead 14 going on 40 something year old in your relationship with your rebound who hallucinates his maker ex . Have you heard of sunk costs?

Marius-

buys a 15 year old boy from a brothel who was sex trafficked.

Decides he's going to turn him into a vampire and renames him.

Reads his mind and knows the kid sees him a combination of Daddy and Jesus.

Showers the kid with his material wealth. Gives him some kind of education in classics, tries to teach him to paint professionally, but also sends him to brothels as a customer.

Has all the vampire sex with him starting on the first night

. Takes boy on a vampire field trip to see his family he'd been kidnapped from and then gets pissed that the kid misses his actual father.

Does not attempt to rescue the boy when another cult group kidnaps him.

Secretly takes care of boy vampire's only fledgling without putting them into contact again.

When he sees the boy got another support system/friends he immediately turns them, one of whom is a 12 year old.

Turns a couple of just married teens at their request and Lestat's with his (ex) wife.

Marius AMC

buys a 15 year old boy from a brothel

renames him Amadeo

"donates" pimps out the boy to his out of town friends as regular hospitality

"donates" him in exchange for a portrait of him and the whitewashed boy on his knees that now hangs in the Louvre

David Talbot

takes in an orphaned 14 year old as a Talamasca ward, who they educate and care for

. Cannot stop talking about her body in great detail and how in love he is with her and culminates in fucking her in the South American jungle as a 24 year old when he's 70. Acts like he was seduced by her, instead of him grooming her.

As a turned vampire cannot stop thinking about drinking her blood and keeps putting his mouth on her

. Angry as hell that she seems to prefer a vampire who is not her father figure

. Excuses all of this by talking about her magical witch powers and drunkeness.

Seth and Fareed

create a human clone of another vampire as an experiment.

Provides bodyguards, pays for the education of the clone to be homeschooled/tutored/university, explains vampire lore to him by shoving all the Anne Rice books at him.

Turns his bio mom at her request when he's ten.

Oh wait, if we're going to have Armand telling his story that gives us a lot of things to look forward to, will we get the chance to see Santino, Allesandra, Riccardo and Bianca? If Marius is on "Daniel's side", will we get a glimpse of Pandora, Bianca or Avicus and Mael? Or even Thornevald? Do you understand? When the Queen arrives, it will be necessary to unite all the vampires capable of thinking clearly. They'll have to fill a huge table with thinking heads.

Not to mention Seth with Fareed and even Nebamun! Aaaaaaah😭😭

If Louis is in his Merrick era then what happens to him will impact almost literally with the end of Akasha (about the things Louis explains in the Prince Lestat era), they're telling a story that covers all the books and so it's something to think about...
