Mi ha colpito una frase detta dal comico Pucci: “Il termine fascista non dovrebbe esistere più”, ma non perché il fascismo è stato archiviato dalla storia, superato o perché oggi nessuno più si ispira a quegli ideali.

Tutt’altro, fascista così come nazista sono termini dispregiativi, e nessuno vuole essere disprezzato, ciò non toglie che ci siano molte persone che del fascismo condividono l’ideologia, la fraseologia, il sistema di pensiero (o se preferite di non-pensiero), i rituali assurdi che accompagnavano le sfilate, le adunate, gli slogan i simboli, i tatuaggi, tutto insomma, eppure se provi a contestarli chiamano te fascista, perché stai negando la loro libertà di espressione.

Si atteggiano a fascisti, pensano (o non pensano) come i fascisti, usano simboli fascisti, si comportano come fascisti, ma non vogliono essere chiamati fascisti.

Pucci è uno che fa ridere insultando gli altri, ma non vuole essere insultato.

I used to believe that villains in both movies and real life always thought that they were actually the good guys.

Maybe that's true for the henchmen, but for the guys at the top? They know they're evil. Plain and simple.

They might put on a facade of righteousness to get and keep people on their side, but to themselves? They know they're the bad guy in their own story, and they don't waste any time convincing themselves otherwise.
