This is a story about love. Draco is on a desperate mission to escape the devastating voice controlling his life, taunting him about his past, and cursing his future. As he reaches his breaking point, he’s sent to a psychiatric hospital, rendered mute, and struggles to find meaning in moving forward. Harry, grappling with his own demons, has been spiralling out of control with an unchecked temper. Unable to escape the anger that has consumed him, he finds himself involuntarily committed, believing that there’s little hope in achieving the semblance of normalcy he craves post-war.

Their paths collide, and fate proves how beautiful and cruel it can be.

So glad there’s someone else out there that sees the Sideswipe x Sideburn vision :]

im also glad to see more people enjoying the ship

freind said I should draw something for this ask but I also wanted to yap a bit

its funny, I never even saw it anywhere- but after I started watching the og rid show I was like

wait a minute, this guy likes red cars... and this guy is a red car!

and their personalities even work well together, a match made in heaven

technically not even a cross continuity ship depending how you portray it, since side burn got a design cameo in rescue bots academy

Tbh I was never big on other rid15 sideswipe ships, wasn't a fan of how they switched up on their more sibling like relationship in the later seasons (ship what you want of course)

funnily enough though it seems like rid15 sideswipe might also have a color bias too (lot of blue there)

also just a side note(no pun intended)

I only ship this with rid15 sideswipe and like, as I see it he's not really the sideswipe

considering he was originally going to be named fastlane and the whole two aligned sideswipes thing

its funny to think fastlane is just committing identity theft

also I do hope to see more content of them, but I havent really seen anyone else draw them together (the struggle of shipping a rarepair, having to draw all of your own ship art lol)

also didnt mean to take so long for this my executive dysfunction has been bad if you cant already tell by my sparse posting schedule

Chapter 11: All I'm Left With is an Aftertaste

Excerpt:

Harry lingers near the door for a moment, his hands awkwardly clasped in front of him. His anxiety seems to fill the room, settling over Draco’s skin like the eerie, numbing sensation of pins and needles. He runs his hands through his dishevelled hair and adjusts his glasses, which have slid down the bridge of his endearing, slightly crooked nose. With a deep breath, he finally strides forward and sits down in the chair next to Draco, turning to face him. He opens his mouth, pauses, and then promptly closes it. His brows furrow as he appears to struggle in search of the right words. “I’m sorry,” Harry finally whispers, his voice paper thin, barely holding together, and fraying at the edges. “I was–I was unreasonable and cruel earlier. I’m–I’m sorry for everything, everything that keeps happening, everything I keep doing. I know I’ve been bloody awful. I can’t help it when I feel like I–when I—” He falters, guilt and fear painting his flushed face before it crumples. His brows draw tight, lips quivering as his eyes squeeze shut for a heartbeat, a tremor passing through his features as though he’s about to break—tears, pain, grief, brimming beneath the surface. But then, as if by sheer force of will, his face smooths over. His hands betray him as he nervously wrings them together in his lap, as if he’s unable to truly hide the monstrosity of complex feelings churning inside of him. Draco stares at him, wide-eyed, shock rooting him to the spot as he feels the blood drain from his face.

Chapter 10: To Love & Be Loved in Return

Excerpt:

What was that saying Harry once heard? Violence begets violence? Hadn’t their hatred cracked his ribs open as a child, allowing something obscene to crawl inside the gaping, cavernous space? Hadn’t it preyed upon his ignorance, his youthful naivety, and fragile optimism? He had felt it throughout his entire life as a slow, creeping coldness spreading from his core, roots burrowing into his flesh and intertwining with his very marrow. It planted its dark, shadowy tendrils deep inside his soul, nourishing the piece of Voldemort that had lurked there since he was a baby. Their violence had carved out a home for darkness, leaving a void where innocence should have thrived.  “Harry,” Healer Adebayo starts, interrupting his thoughts. He glances at her, his hollow eyes meeting hers, shoulders slumping as his throat tightens. He swallows hard, fighting a rip tide of emotion that threatens to drown him. “Can you tell me about a time you cried and someone reacted negatively? Just one incident that stands out to you.” Harry’s knee bounces and he unfolds his arms, his fingers clenching and unclenching as he grips the armrests of his chair. That cold, slick feeling thickens under his breastbone. He briefly squeezes his eyes shut against its oozing sensation, rolling his shoulders back.  He’s small again.
