Nothing like a walk in the park to clear your head of any worries. Or just make you think about them more.

That was exactly what ended up happening after Rin sat down in a bench, away from all the other people at the park. Hands resting on her lap, one over the other, she gazed at the scenery in front of her -- even though she wasn’t exactly paying atention. And by not paying atention, she ended up getting involved in something she would call unnecessary. Because, just as she was thinking it was pointless to worry about things she could not fix, a flying object came straight to her face, hitting her right in the forehead. Just a few seconds after, a stranger approached her with a worried look in their face. However, before they could even speak, she got up and immediatly started shouting, her hands now rolled into fists. “Hey! What on earth do you think you’re doing?! Do you realize how dangerous it was to be so careless?! What if I seriously got hurt?!!”

She had only stepped outside for groceries. Only one small venture into the outside world. So how had it come to this?

Stuck between two rather large, rather drunk guys with a red solo cup having been forcefully stuffed into her hand. Alice had never asked to be taken to a party but having been accosted in the streets and forcefully dragged over to this house party, well it wasn’t like she could just up and leave. Not when she was quite literally stuck in her seat.

That is until she managed to catch the sight of a passer-by, someone who looked friendly enough, someone to whom she could mouth out the words “Help me” silently.

Hinami pouted at the party growing around her. She had plastered herself against the wall, content to be a wallflower for the night. She had a red solo cup, but inside it was only water.

She was supremely uncomfortable. She didn’t know why she’d even come.

If the exit didn’t seem completely unreachable through the crowd, she’d probably have left already.

[ Cierra was always in her own little world. She didn’t even mind if people looked at her as she walked across the street or down the side walk, a small book in her hands. Whether it was hot or cold, Cierra always wore that big and fluffy coat of hers. She had always felt yes on her when she walked by people, but she didn’t care! Really, it just made her feel she stood out. That was something she enjoyed, to some extent. 

The young woman had the day off work. What better way to spend it other than going to her favorite cafe, ordering some hot cocoa, and sit down to read her favorite book? Luckily, the cafe wasn’t too far off from her apartment. 

The first thing she noticed was how many people were there with her at the moment. ...Not that many. Just a bunch of people sitting around, maybe some students studying for an incoming test or some people doing online work. Either way, Cierra made her way up to the barista, making her order as quick as possible so she wouldn’t hold up a line.

She smiled softly once her order was taken and she kept eye contact with the employee as she handed them the small amount of money she were to owe. She uttered a thank you, before turning her back to sit down at a random table she had her eyes on to wait for her order - not noticing that someone was sitting just across from her. 

Cierra only took notice when she saw someone at the corner of her eye when she placed her book down. She blinked a few times, but a smile ultimately formed upon her lips. ] 

“Oh, goodness. I’m sorry! I didn’t notice that someone was at this table. You aren’t waiting for anyone, are you? You don’t mind if I sit here for a bit?”

"Maaaaan." Frankly she was tired of this. Yet another job interview went badly, and she would have to put in yet another rent extension. The girl took a seat at a nearby bench, slouching as she considered her options. Rinoa certainly couldn't keep living off her father's money forever, besides the entire point in running away was to prove herself. She thought she could do this, but her "funemployment" had to come to end. Her frustration caused her to groan. "Who know finding a job would be this hard?!"

Rumors, She Wrote (Opening)

    Upon a flight of stairs were the bustling citizens in the city of Kairos. Whether ascending or descending, they all continued about on their business with the exception of a peculiar young woman with a small booklet in one hand and a pen in the other. She walked up them, pausing at each individual step for a brief moment before writing onto the page.

    “…Seventeen… Eighteen… Nineteen… And twenty. I see...”

    Furudo Erika stopped at the summit of the stairs then tapped on her cheek as she looked down them. She examined them thoroughly, then proceeded to place her pen into her pocket before taking a blue one out. Once more, her hand glided across the page and ended her writing with a quick flick of the wrist. Then, she began to descend on the opposite side from before.

    “One… Two… Three… Four…”

    She traveled down the stairs in the same slow rhythm from before, stopping at the bottom to write, and once more beginning the same process up and then down the stairs, then twice more, and several times more thus repeating this curious scene in a loop.

Lunchtime was definitely one of her favorite parts of the day, Hinami decided. Especially when the weather was nice and the school's courtyard was open to students who wanted to eat outside, like today. Hinami had grabbed a table in the corner to eat alone, basking in the warmth of the sunlight against her back. Her peanut butter and jelly sandwich was nothing special, but the sweetness of jelly combined with the heat of the sun almost made it feel like summer.

It was too bad there was no one to appreciate it with. Her book lay next to her, untouched. She didn't want to get lost in another world when she was enjoying this one.

Today was Hinami's errand day for the week. She'd helped her mother with the groceries, sorted the laundry, and done all of her homework before the time she'd normally be out of school. Now her mom was starting dinner, so she sent Hinami out to get food for the cat.

Hinami knew that most cats didn't like to be walked like dogs, and Gigi didn't either, but he did appreciate being taken along to the pet store where everything smelled either delicious or like a potential new friend. Or enemy, depending on his mood for the day. She put on his harness with minimal effort—this was why she delegated the crate for the vet and the harness for fun outings—and clipped the leash onto it, waving goodbye to her mother on her way out.

“Hm, it's starting to get nicer outside. Maybe you'd appreciate stopping by the park to watch the ducks...” She was speaking to Gigi but talking mostly to herself, wondering what she should do. Gigi was certainly lively enough, apparently enjoying the fresh air as much as Hinami. She supposed she could spare a few minutes to let him enjoy the sun. She headed towards the park.
