Day 4 - Ultimate Bias Group:

I mean

I think we all know

Who my ult group are

But uh

In case you’re new here

It’s VIXX and I’m not even sure I can list all the reasons why tbh

I love their sound, there aren’t that many songs of theirs that I dislike, and I love their concepts and aesthetics to hell and back h o n e s t l y - their mvs are so beautiful it kills me every time. But even that aside, I love how genuine they all are. I love that they want to continue as a group because they’ve built genuine, true friendships between themselves and that they truly get along and seem to love each other as close friends. I love having seen them develop from their typical idol archetypes at debut into being able to show at least a fraction of who they are to us, even if we can never truly see them as they are because of the ridiculous standards that are the kpop industry. I love moments like realising how far Taekwoon’s come in terms of being comfortable in front of cameras and he’s moved from the shy, stoic member back even a couple of years ago to the sometimes noisy, giggly nutcase we see in videos of VIXX now. I love when Jaehwan comes onto the camera and says some really beautifully genuine things to the fans as opposed to being nothing more than the silly aegyo that used to be his ‘role’, if you will. I’ve loved seeing Hyuk and Hakyeon take their first hands at songwriting, especially seeing their songs make it into albums more and more often. I love that VIXX all have such a personal hand in the creation of their albums and that you can really feel those personal touches to the songs they help write. At a few seconds of listening, you can tell instantly that 닮아 was a song written by Hakyeon, that the song captures him and his style so well. And the same goes for Navy and Shining Gold, I smiled so hard when I first listened to that song because it just sounds like Jaehwan so much. You can really feel his input into the production of that song and it’s wonderful.

There are so many more reasons I love VIXX as a group but I’m not sure I can truly place them all into words nor do I think any of you want to read a post that long. 

tl;dr - I really, really, really love VIXX.
