okay favourite teacher post…,,,!!!
my favourite teacher is the only computer science teacher at the school and it’s technically against school rules to be inside classrooms during “social times” (break, lunch, etc) but my favourite teacher basically said “everyone can come use the computer lab during breaks!” and i’m not sure how he manages to work on anything with everyone being so loud but it’s awesome
he offers to play card games and board games with me and some of my friends during breaks, but i think it’s actually just because he wants to play the games. he acts all sad and disappointed if you say no. i’m pretty sure he’ll take any excuse to take a break from working
he has a kettle in his classroom that he uses to make tea, even though his classroom is RIGHT beside the staff room, and if you bring a mug you can ask to have some tea
he’s also let me use the kettle to refill my hot water bottle when i had cramps and let’s one of my friends boil his instant noodles with it
he keeps mints and toffee in one of his desk drawers and, while he doesn’t like giving it out to every single student, if i’m discreet about asking he’ll let me have some
he’s brought bread, jam and butter into school and let me take some
he brings fruit in sometimes and lets me have some
today i got into school late because of a doctors appointment and went to his classroom right at the end of break, so he was about to start teaching a class, and when i had a panic attack he offered to tell the whole class to leave the room so i could have a quiet place to be
if i don’t want to do my extracurricular i can go sit in his classroom instead
one time my mom forgot to pick me up from school so he let me use his phone to call her
he’s really engaged in his students lives in general and genuinely wants everyone to be okay. he’s super awesome
(also since his son is in my year he’s close with a lot of students in my class which is cool!!)
me and my best friend have literally taken to calling him father (not to his face, we are too scared) and have asked his son if he could adopt us

New motivation to stick to my goals: My favourite teacher confirmed he adds ex students back on FaceBook. I refuse to not achieve goals he knows I have and would see me fail.
Heard today that my favorite teacher has resigned. Even tho I knew it’d come, it kinda broke my heart. He really was my favorite teacher. He just didn’t give a fuck about anything, told people to shut up when he had to and he was always honest and super funny, never put pressure on us… and he let us use our creativity. I loved his lessons. I am so gonna miss him…
Also sometimes I got the feeling like we had a kinda connection just because we see things similar, have same believes, same humor and stuff…
But I am happy for him. He always said he didn’t feel that good, tired, school drained his energy, needed to clean his aura a lot…
I feel that so much, so I am happy for him, he now can leave it all behind him.
And even tho he won’t ever read this: Mr Meier, thank you for one year of great German lessons, three months of interesting politics lessons and good grades, for nice chats and just for being an amazing human. I wish you all the best for the future and I genuinely hope we meet again one day. I’d love to hear your after-school story.
