i feel in my heart that this is already a headcanon BUTTTT since its sort of canon (i think) that vamps dont really need sleep, sam wouldnt need it but likes to anyway because it reminds him of being human

but when he is awake, he lovess to watch darlin sleep (not in a weird way ofc) he loves to watch their chest rise up and down. see their calm face as if they had no worries on their shoulders. he runs circles into their lower back when they're snuggled up together. their peace is his peace. he often leans in to kiss small scars over their face, and always ends it off with a kiss on the bridge of their nose.
