It was a day riddled with anxieties. Paperwork woes at work, sidestepping Paul’s piercing eyes at home, and Art’s daily concerned interrogations about her health to top it all off. It had become a cycle, broken here and there by Beth’s discoveries of more and more shit that was polluting her life. Doubtful she could even call it her life anymore. She buckled under it, the weight and the paranoia of what she knew and how much was left to do to keep herself and her newfound (for lack of a better term) family safe.

Her hands gripped the steering wheel in an attempt to stop them trembling, parking curbside a block down from Alison’s house. She pulled out her pink burner phone, selecting Alison’s name on the short contacts list within. She didn’t do this; Beth lived her life independently and checked in with Alison and Cosima only when there were updates. But today she just wanted to lose herself in something, anything normal. She could find comfort in Alison’s babbling for a couple hours. PTAs and remodelings and soccer practices. Yeah, she could do that. And maybe washed down with a couple of extra helpers she could get through the rest of the week.

“Hey, it’s me. I know your kids can’t be out of school yet. Wanna go to the range?” She watched Alison’s front door, gaze sweeping to the road ahead. “Before your neighborhood watch folks send a rent-a-cop after me for idling?”

The petite brunette practically leapt off of her couch when she heard a knock on the door and not at all surprisingly, the smug little smile on her lips only grew upon seeing Evan. “You know,” she closed the door behind him and reached for his hand, pulling him deeper into her home, “in the time it took you to get yourself over here, I could have already packed up and moved. You should probably work on that.” Her hands slipped into his coat, helping him shrug it off before tossing it onto a nearby end table. “A lot could happen while you’re driving.” She glanced up at him, gently brushing hair from his face. “You wouldn’t want to miss out on anything now, would you?”

impcrfectsx favorite writers!!

in a way this is a follow forever, but since i don’t follow like anyone (bc i’m weird), i’d thought i’d mention some of my favorite writers that i’m currently roleplaying with!! i’d recommend anyone to go plot with them!! so, here we go!!

@atelophxbiia  --- honestly i think this is like the only thread that i restarted after my hiatus and bless summer’s heart for continuing it. i definitely missed briar and ravi and even though briar gets hella frustrated with ravi, summer’s writing is amazing and detailed and honestly what i look for in a writing partner ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔ

@warriorveined --- dylan is another rad writer - honestly we have so many threads together rn like it’s crazy but all of their muses are hella cool and they have tons to choose from so honestly you should hit them up and plot!! we literally just started a new ship even though we already have meredith x valerie but like idec (✿◠‿◠)  seriously tho hit them up!!

@temptatiicn --- peter x lux is honestly one of my favorite ships rn and tbh i think it’s bc i love their writing. they never seem to struggle to match length which i’m quite jealous of bc i certainly do and i hate giving a half-assed reply to someone. i know they’ll continue to be one of my favorite writers!!

@hurriicanehearts --- another hella cool writers and one of the first threads i had with charlie!! he really likes kit and i mean it’s evanstan so you can’t really go wrong tbh. i always get excited when i see a notification that they’ve replied. 

@degeneratemaidens  --- i really like our charlie x amelia thread and i’m not usually into those types of threads but it’s one of my favorite charlie ships.

@theirkink  --- we literally just started talking but like our thread is the bomb and honestly so hot?? like you real cool and i look forward to all the threads

@txnaciouslove  --- we also haven’t really talked but i know our addison x luke thread will be real cool so i’m hella looking forward to that
