this is an au where squirrelpaw is squirrelflight on the journey. shes not an apprentice

feathersquirrel but in the sense of feathertail being doomed to die by the stars so that squirrelflight will be forced to choose her 'second-best' aka brambleclaw and have an excuse to take the three as her own and fulfill the prophecy.

feathersquirrel but in the sense that it wasnt crowfeather she died for, but squirrelflight. her dying wish was to one day be reunited with squirrelflight.

feathersquirrel in the sense that when feathertail died, leafpool felt intense grief from her sister via their telepathic bond for months following.

feathersquirrel in the sense that she dated ashfur purely because he looked like feathertail.

feathersquirrel in the sense that during squirrelflight's trial on starclan. feathertail watched her. tried to speak up. defend her love.

feathersquirrel in the sense that she sleeps next to a seashell every night. she keeps it safely in her nest.

I can see them sorta working, but even before... that, I don't think they would've worked well as a couple. I think Squirrelflight would've been better off pursuing literally anyone other than Bramble and Ash

Personally I'm a big fan of Spiderleg or Shrewpaw and Squirrelflight. Crowfeather and Squirrelflight are also good. Really her with any of the road trip squad sans Bramblestar is good in my mind
