Last week was so long, but I learned a lot.

Luckily I had the weekend off to recharge. I did chores, studied, watched Netflix, and spent time with friends.

This is my last week with this particular attending and patient population, and I've no doubt I'll keep learning a ton, if last week was any indication. It will be challenging but I'm looking forward to it.

I’ve been doing better at ignoring the dark thoughts in my head, and it’s thanks to my partner. All I do is just have conversations with myself using their voice in my head and I calm down. I have it tell me positive things and give me motivational talks.

I also look at my ring and remember that they care about me. Even if we have an argument or if there’s a period of time where we both need some space I know that they’ll be there for me. The smallest things that remind me of them help tremendously.

I know I still have a long way to go before I’ll be the person I want to be, but I’m slowly getting there one step at a time.
