So me and @bluemidnightwolfmain have been talking. And we've been thinking of people in DC that we want to have trans versions of in our AUs.
And then we thought of Transguy!Kyle Rayner. And I think I'm in love.
So, just,
Kyle drawing comics with LGBTQ+ characters.
Kyle with a binder.
Kyle using his control over his lantern suit to make it have a built in binder and packer.
Kyle having a special connection to his fandoms because they helped him realize he was trans, and gave him characters to turn to when he felt alone.
Kyle being out and open about it to his friends.
Those friends being supportive!
Kyle having just as many romances and supportive friendships.
Kyle loving being in space even more because non-humans don't give a crap about his body's configuration.
His mom being supportive, and his first real advocate. (And all the angst that involves).
Part of why Kyle is so good at overcoming fear is because he already has to risk so much just to live as himself. And getting past his trans related fears helped him to develop that skill.
Some of his friends don't really get it at first (*cough* Guy *cough*) , but whatever. It's Kyle. And they know he's a guy.
After Kyle comes out to him, Guy will literally punch people for saying transphobic shit.
Guy catches himself saying stupid shit that messes with Kyle's dysphoria sometimes, and he offers to punch himself because of it. Kyle says an apology is fine. If it was worth it, he would have hit him. It's not, though, because Guy is trying.
Part of the reason Kyle's so good with emotions is that being trans involves a lot of introspection. More so than he'd normally have.
He gained an intimate knowledge of body lines through art that he used to help him pass before going on T.
He views his body as an incomplete work. It's not wrong. Just not finished yet.
I just. Trans!Kyle. I need it!
