Obanai Iguro w/ a reader who likes wearing his haori

He doesn't understand the appeal.

That's not to say Obanai doesn't find it endearing and adorable, but he doesn't get why you like his Haori so much, even after and explanation.

As for how he found out:

You had woken up one morning and with a pat around the bed, sighed as you noticed your lover had yet again, left early to train at his personal gym-esque thing just outside of you two's quarters. You would visit him and watch, but he didn't like to be watched all too much unless he was teaching a newbie.

Another sigh escaped your lips as you realized your lover wouldn't be back for a while. Slipping out of bed and readying yourself to start your solo day, in the corner of your eye a white and black cloth caught your attention.

With a giddy smile, you ran over and grabbed the snake hashira's haori, putting it up to your face and inhaling Obanai's scent before slipping it on. You didn't even bother thinking of the fact that Obanai forgot his haori whilst being out where other's could see him due to your excitement.

Twirling around in front of the mirror, you laughed heartily as you hugged yourself snuggly into the Haori. God it smelled so much like him. You loved him so much.

At that moment, a hiss broke you out of your lovesick trance as you froze like a deer in headlights: Obanai never left without Kaburamaru.

Grimacing slightly, you prayed that this happened to be a rare occasion as you turned around at slower speeds than a snail, only to see your boyfriend and his snake watching you from the doorway.

Seeing as he has taken his mask off once he arrived back to your quarters, you could feel how he was hiding his triumphant smirk with a deadpan expression as his arms crossed over his chest.

"What's this? Playing dress up? Give me that."

He sounded a bit annoyed, but little did you know, his heart almost beat out of his chest.

He teases you relentlessly about this, regardless of how long ago this happened.

Obanai's a bit more affectionate after that day, trying to spend more time with you since it appears as though you miss him. He'll let you cuddle into him and even play with his hair. (speaking of which, his hair reminds me of that one monster high voodoo character lmfao)

Iguro won't admit it, but he actually invested in a second haori after he saw you in his, its a bit smaller, but he still wears it. He made it this way that way when you stole this one, it wouldn't be super large on you. You two basically trade whenever the haori you have no longer smells like him.

he totally wants you two to match. it also keeps away anyone, aside from him, who tries to romance you.

Definitely makes it his mission to keep this info from being spread amongst the hashira. Last this he needs is to deal with Sanemi and Shinobu's constant teasing as well as Mitsuri's preaches about true love.

He somewhat doesn't like the whole haori thing because Kaburamaru now likes to also lay across your shoulders since he sees stripes and equates it to shoulder laying territory.

Seriously, Kaburamaru will just slide off Obanai to go and receive attention from you. It's jealousy x2 because one, that's his best friend ditching him for his s/o, and two, that's his s/o giving his pet snake more affection than him.

To conclude before I go off on a bigger rant, Obanai isn't very straightforward with his emotions, more than most characters I've written for, but still a bit introverted. However, he definitely loves you, and if this keeps you at peace considering his occupation, he's willing to oblige. That and well, you look absolutely smoking HOT.

Killua w/ a Fantasy Witch s/o who specializes in Healing Magic

Killua just assumes you have some sort of specialization nen, he also doesn't really need to heal all too much, he's so op its crazy, so he doesn't really understand it's value 100% yet??

However, this changes when you have to heal either yourself or somebody else while he's around. (its Gon 100% LMFAO)

He's stunned, because uh,, that's not nen?? Why are you able to do that? Are you God?

What? You're a witch? Oh, that's cool

WAIT YOU'RE A WITCH????

Killua will not leave you alone now, at least not for a while.

"Y/nnnn! C'mon do the magic again." He wants to see it constantly, at least until he sees every spell 10 times minimum.

He likes subtly bragging to other hunters he meets about it? "Oh, your nen's cool, my s/o doesn't use nen but since they're a witch, they can heal people."

Definitely looks for books that deal with your practice in order to gift to you yes, but also to understand what it is you're talking about half the time. It's his way of showing he supports you, even with the big stigma against fantasy witches.

Speaking of the stigma, he doesn't take anyone's bs when it comes to him "being w/ someone who worships the devil." no i'm serious, he won't even give them the time of day.

As soon as he hears them speak, he's grabbing your arm and pulling you to look at the different markets within the town, probably buying you some sort of treat from there.

Once he gets used to it, which is fairly quickly, he honestly doesn't even think about it too much.

Although, he is very hesitant when it comes to pissing you off.

Killua will ask if you know any sort of self protection or maybe even some damage causing magic, and if you don't he really wishes you would learn.

Yes, he can protect you himself from most predators, but he isn't always with you as he is a hunter.

However, if you can't learn any sort of damaging witchery, he's going to try and teach you nen. Whether or not you can even use nen in the first place is up to you, though it's highly unlikely you can. If you cannot use nen or your own magic to defend you, he's going to force you to follow him everywhere.

Killua is a highly targeted ex-assassin, sure he may not be in the business anymore, but his last name is a hit just waiting to happen.

He still treats you like he would any powerless partner, with respect, love, and trust, he just feels everthing x10 because he knows he can rely on you in case something goes wrong!

He's most likely depressed or at least deep in his emotions for a bit. He has no regrets per say, but he definitely feels guilty since he isn't devoid of empathy, no matter how much he hates the Phantom Troupe for what they did.

Yes, his anger is finally at peace but nothing could ever lead him to forget the blood. on his hands, his hair, his face, his clothes. red everywhere.

He's not traumatized obviously, but he definitely has nightmares of his clan friends shaming him for what he did, even if it was all for their sake.

I also like to think he has some sort of discomfort being in the presence of chains, but I won't go into that.

Kurapika is so stubborn and sees himself as a burden to you during this time, so you won't find out of these night terrors from him directly. No, you'll either have to wake up to his sleep murmuring or connect the dots.

Please confront him about them. While he doesn't want to feel like a burden, he desperately wants help, someone to listen to him. to hold him, to finally feel safe for once in his life.

He's clingier after you talk to him about his terrors, always wanting to hold your hand and play with your fingers while he thinks. Constantly tells you how much he loves you, unlike before, and how he could not have gone on without you.

The reason being he feels as though his life and yours are no longer in immediate danger. He's not scared to let you know how much he's afraid to lose you because he's certain no one can take you from him anymore.

As for the months after once life gets easier for him mentally, you might have to restrain him to a doorknob in y'all's house or something. Kurapika is most likely loaded from all the jobs he's had to take to follow the troupe around, but he's such a busy body he HATES being at home and just relaxing.

Once you get after him for it, he channels all of his energy into loving you and visiting his friends:)

I'm serious, he starts making you breakfast on the daily, a fancy cup of coffee, and even a massage. He's taking all this free time he has and using it to make up for the years of your relationship lost to his revenge.

you two definitely end up with a pet bird. the breed is your choice, but he definitely names it after his old blind pal.

Pika also leaves little notes with quotes from Kurta scriptures, usually ones that mention beauty or forever loving and say they "remind him of you, but tenfold."

All in all, Kurapika treats you the way you treated him during his revenge arc but 10x better. He's certain you're his life partner seeing as you stayed through his years of mental health decline and emotional trauma. He's never letting go of you, even if he isn't so straightforward to your face.

Feitan: General Dating Headcanons

to put it plain and simple: feitan's a bitch. he's not a heartfelt person, and he is SO brutally honest, it's insane. it's a hard to make this man catch feelings, or to even catch feelings for him.

he's so loyal to the troupe, so very loyal to the point he WILL NOT date a troupe member. but he also won't date your average joe.

basically, what i'm getting at is that you have to be from meteor. in fact, that's probably where you two met. meteor city before the troupe was created.

the reason I say this is because feitan is not going to date someone he sees as socially above him. he's also not going to date someone who's more vulnerable than him. now, having a s/o from meteor is a for sure sign in his own mind that they can and will be alright when he's away.

now that I've cleared that up, onto the actual dating headcanons:

In meteor, feitan most likely realized he felt something with you, however, it wasn't really enough to make him stay and/or confess to you in that time before the troupe had left. regardless if you two were friends or not, he left w/o saying anything, that's for sure. he justifies this by saying he doesn't like saying goodbye, but the real reason is he doesn't really enjoy seeing you upset.

Alright, well, Jojo, if we don't get together in meteor, then when do we link?

A day or so after the Kurta Massacre.

Yes, that was many years after the troupe was banded, however this time period is so important for the development of y'all's soon to be relationship. It was during that time that Feitan realized that he really couldn't be away from you. He missed you so much, it was unbearable for him, truly.

He'll never admit this, but he actually went to shalnark several times to try and find you, but would change his mind (and cuss out sir shark) after hearing shal's relentless teasing.

back to what I was saying, it was the day after the massacre, and the troupe had already gone their separate ways. Feitan was walking through that town that was outside of the clan grounds (the one shown for the kurta trials in the phantom rouge movie.), and there he spotted you.

God he couldn't believe how stunning you were. He stood there staring at you, contemplating whether he should actually go up to you or not. Before he could make a decision however, you went and noticed him.

"Feitan... Is that really you?"

After a small confession on his end, (I won't go into too much detail, but basically he kinda just grabbed your wrist firmly and dragged you with him, mumbling a short "I missed you, y/n." as he took you back to his abode.) you two ended up together ta daaaaa!

When you two first started dating, he wasn't super comfortable around you since it was more like that awkward talking phase, but he would listen to everything you had to say and commit everything he deemed useful to memory.

He wouldn't talk too much about himself, only telling you bits and pieces of his troupe work. (yes, you know what he does, he just doesn't go into detail because he prefers to focus on you when home.)

Feitan is okay with cuddling. He's not super against it, but he isn't excited about it. He'll do it with enough begging or if he notices you're upset about something.

On that same note, he's so good about detecting your emotions. I believe this is because he can read body language and facial expressions well, being a master torturer after all.

Good luck with trying to get this man to sleep with you. It's not that he doesn't love you, it's simply just a preference after living in Meteor and trust issues. Either you two have separate beds in the same room, or two rooms connected with a large doorway (w/o the door ofc). He'll cuddle on either the couch or the same bed w you, even watch movies on the same bed, but never sleep on the same bed and that will not change.

His love language is acts of service and quality time.

He's the type of guy to always make you breakfast in bed whenever he's home, simply because he's awake at the crack of dawn. that and he loves you but mainly the dawn thing.

Feitan enjoys watching movies with you, but it's only those really boring documentaries about old art periods and gothic literature, maybe some translated Russian literature as well. However, feitan will sit and watch a movie you'd like to watch as long as you play w/ his hands or hair. He adores the feeling, it relaxes him quite a bit to the point where he will not complain.

He keeps you away from the troupe for a good amount of time, but eventually Phinks and Shalnark will show up at you two's house while he's out for a few hours.

This brings me to my jealousy headcanons for fei. He's SO jealous of anyone who you keep your eyes on for more than a few seconds. He's not insecure at all, he just doesn't like the thought of you being with anyone besides himself.

That's why when he sees Phinks flirting with you since he has no idea you're with Feitan and Shalnark doing the same, knowingly, to get on Feitan's nerves, he kicks them out in two seconds and throws you over his shoulder to spend time together on the couch.

When Feitan's away, he leaves his cowl, to be specific the one with the red wing-like design besides the skull. (he has his other one w/o the red wings so he's okay.) He likes the way you look in it and knows you like it too. It's a token for you to remember him by, since you cannot reach him by phone when he's away. (for your safety.)

Speaking of safety, if you have not learned nen yet, he's teaching you right away. He hates having to explain things w/ the whole language barrier, but he'll do it for you and you only. I'm not kidding, he may seem a bit harsh w the constant working out, but it's for your own good. You need to be able to protect yourself from nen users when he's away.

Speaking of his speech, he hates if you mention it or try and imitate his accent/way of speaking. I'm serious, he may just ignore you for a few days to a week depending on how severe your teasing was. Once you sincerely apologize, he'll spoil you with attention to make up for lost time.

OOO, he'll cook you traditional food that he remembers being made by whomever taught him his first language. if you try to comment on it, he says:

" yes yes… less talk-ing… more eat-ing, s/o. or else i'll… eat for you." (I typed like that so you could imagine his voice, yw:'))

When he's home, he keeps the cowl off after you pester him about it so many times. He actually gets really flustered from compliments, but only his ears turn red, which is under his hair so.

Feitan does not use the phrase "I love you" sparingly, but he always says it before he leaves for a mission, regardless if you're awake to hear it or not.

Contrary to popular belief, he doesn't care that he's short. He doesn't even notice half the time because he's so used to it. He sees it as a combat advantage lol. If you are taller than him, he'll just snicker if you make a /good/ short joke, otherwise he'll just roll his eyes in annoyance.

To wrap this up, Feitan is a great boyfriend. He may have his own stoic ways of doing things, but he makes sure you're aware you're cared for no matter what. He loves you just as much as he cherishes the troupe.
