AT LONG LAST, IT IS HERE.
Both Sides of The Moon, my debut novel, is a slow(ish)-burn fantasy romance about a gay vampire and a werewolf cowboy who fall in love. It’s been described as “gorgeously written, full of magic and emotion, very angsty but also very sweet and warm at the same time” (and it almost made me cry). An exploration of love, loss, and belonging, it also features endearingly un-funny monster people, an entirely queer cast of characters, approximately thirty pages of smut, and a comical amount of gay stupidity.
Wanna know more? Here’s the summary:
When a vampire is discovered, unconscious, on the Mahankila family’s ranch, Roa is wholly unprepared to find himself attracted to the handsome stranger—or for the ways in which his life is about to change.
Before the vampire’s arrival, Roa was content with his life. He loves his family and his community, the Licanmos Clan, a society of werewolves that have called the desert their home for millennia; even his ceremonial position as clan Shepherd, while occasionally embarrassing, brings connection and closeness to his deity, the Moon.
But the stranger’s presence begins to change things: for his clan, for his family, and for Roa.
When Fae wakes up in an unfamiliar home, he has no memory of how he got there - and, indeed, very little memory of anything else.
He cannot forget that he is a vampire, and so not to be trusted; or the profound grief burning in his body, surrounded by a shell of terror; or the mysterious, dangerous force pursuing him. Fae’s intention is to stay only until he regains his strength and, if possible, his memories - as long as he’s pursued, his presence puts the Mahankilas at risk.
But how can Fae leave the safety of the ranch with an undead body conditioned to survive at all costs - and a growing attachment to the werewolves, especially Roa?
