[ エリカ ] ❀ ; Lavender Town.

It was as though the very town, much like its name, was washed in the hue of lavender. Unlike what many would think of the town, there was no negativity hanging in the air, no dreariness that those with such misconceptions would imagine the town to have. Instead, those that lived here were kind and respectful, a certain elderly man being the very culmination of what they stood for, the very reason why Erika had decided to make a visit to Lavender Town.

She was no stranger to the volunteer house founder, having made a note to visit the establishment during her travels-- it was a connection she had made that held great value to her. Subsequent visits had lead to her eventually providing help whenever she had time to spare at the house, whether it was to simply provide company to the Pokemon or care for them, as well as bringing along a few friends for them to play with. Friends in the form of an Exeggcute and an Oddish who were at the moment hopping and toddling respectively alongside her, eager to see their friends from far away.

Greetings were exchanged, along with a warm welcome from not only Mr. Fuji himself, but from the many volunteers from the house as well, but the two Pokemon were practically bursting with excitement to find their playmates. So excited, that the little Oddish tripped on its feet, rolling into the leg of one of the volunteers. Or so at least, she presumed that he was one of the volunteers.

“ I’m sorry, this little one can get very excited at times... ” She wasted no time in scooping the Grass type into her arms, before her gaze lowered as she addressed the Oddish with gentle, yet firm words. “ I know you’re excited, but you need to be more careful, alright? I wouldn’t want you to bother anyone, or hurt yourself. ”

Crying wasn’t going to do her any good. If it was true—if both Avalon and Earth were doomed due to the gate’s magic finally failing, then she couldn’t blame herself. It wasn’t her fault the spell didn’t hold up—and all that stuff about the conflict between fae and humans happened like, a thousand years before she was even born!

It was the stupid faerie council’s plan to make her a scion that failed—not Cosette herself. So, after telling herself that under the covers of her new bed, she dried her eyes that had cried all day and forced herself to get up. Crying had taken a lot out of her, dehydrated her.

She’d taken a long drink from the tap in her house before deciding to explore. How many were saved? How many were humans? How many were fairies—if she wanted her mind fixed she should find them first. She just really hoped they didn’t blame her.

After walking for a while through the grassy hills, she stopped to take her shoes off. Her bare feet sank into the sodden grass, already making her feel so much better. 

She breathed in the carbon dioxide, tilted her face back and closed her eyes, feeling the tiny chloroplasts in her face absorbing the sunlight.

Her eyes flew up at the sound of footsteps—another person out here. She knew better than to trust them blindly, not here. This wasn’t Earth and it definitely wasn’t Avalon.

She squealed, grabbing up the nearest stick she could find and holding it threateningly. As the person came into view, she felt her whole body freeze, her eyes widened as pigment rushed to her face.

That hair, those eyes. Was this another fairy? She didn’t lower her weapon. 

“Where did you come from?” 

She asked firmly, trying to mean business, her eyes narrowed.

The night air should be crisp on a nose, freezing it just enough to get slightly runny but nothing the human body couldn’t stand without a good set of clothes.  In cold air like this, leaves crunched just nice enough underfoot, the world seemed to silence itself.   Though going outside at night, especially in the woods, seemed dangerous, it was something that could be a worthwhile experience.  Especially when you already cold-bodied, when you were meant to thrive at night when the sun was poisonous.  To be frank, he felt a bit flabbergasted.  He was hungry, and the food he was given was cold, and put in a body-sized plastic medical bag.   How was he supposed to eat that?  He needed it to be hot, he was adapted for feeding from live bodies after all.  The plastic would be messy to deal with when poked, and he wasn’t even sure if he could warm it up well.  A walk in the woods sounded real nice.  Especially one filled with animals, if he took a bit of blood from a bunch of them it shouldn’t affect the population or anything too badly right?   He even brought medical supplies, to help with the bleeding after.  ---  He did eventually find what he wanted, carefully he fed off the neck of a sleeping deer, a boon to being a leech specifically was that his bite was painless, it probably wasn’t going to wake up anytime soon, so he actually left his head and scarf off to kick back and relax a little.  It tasted gamey, but it wasn’t a bad taste at all, sometimes he wondered if the meat tasted the same.  He wasn’t expecting anyone to see him, it was probably around 3 AM.  Maybe.  He wasn’t good at keeping track of time.  He didn’t react to the rustling of plant-life in the background, it was probably just another meal.

Whit and Stella

Here she comes, waltzing into the entrance way of the arena, ready to perform... No one in the crowd could possibly be prepared for such an act. It truly was an going to be a spectacle unlike any other.

Stella wasn't sure she was prepared herself as she stepped through the threshold of the arena... Well, it was a daycare- technically. Maybe she was hyping herself up too much, but the way she saw it, giving her all for every preformance was her duty as a clown.

She quickly greeted a worker at the front desk, hoping to check in before any of the kids saw her. It sure is hard to go unnoticed by children when you're dressed like a clown! Mid handshake with the first employee Stella could find, she heard the rumbling of little feet running towards her and shouts of excited children.

Bracing herself for impact she brought her hands to her hips and lifted her chin,

"Are you ready for an act of a lifetime?" Stella beamed, quickly snapping into character.

strange house / whit & miyu

The climate of Unova was much colder than what Miyu was used to. In the shadow of Reversal Mountain she had been forced to bundle up to fight the chill of the wind blowing down from the higher altitudes. She found herself standing in front of a very dilapidated house nestled against the base of the mountain. After tracking what had appeared to be a very distressed Abra the trail had led her straight to the house.

Miyu was getting ready to head inside in pursuit of the pokemon when the sound of a snapping twig caused her to about face. The person who made the noise was easy to spot -- with his tall figure and pure white hair Miyu was sure that he would stand out anywhere, but especially so against the mountain’s red rocks.

Besides that there was something odd about him. He seemed to be wandering about aimlessly. She thought about calling out to him but decided to watch in silent bemusement for a little while. A few times Miyu thought that he was going to run into a boulder or a bush, only to feel a bit more disappointed each time he narrowly missed an obstacle. When he suddenly changed direction and started walking toward her, she stood her ground; his eyes looked unfocused but determined, and it was impossible to tell if he could actually see her or not.

“Excuse me--” Miyu finally spoke up, but it was too late. She didn’t bother trying to step out of the way as the tall male walked straight into her. Taking a step back to create a suitable amount of distance between them, she cleared her throat. “Are you lost? Or maybe ill? I’m not familiar with the area but I have a map. I can direct you to the nearest Pokemon Center.”
