this is me asking to share ur fem klance ideas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
okay random headcanons in no particular order
• kay is kinda apathetic about gender . like she’s fine being a girl when no one’s telling her how to be a girl??? but she wasn’t really raised with femininity and she’s not really used to it in a positive context . she dabbles in it sometimes for funsies but generally she’s pretty masc leaning
• kay always knew she was gay and never really had to come out bc people always got that vibe from her
• leah however has a lot of comphet that she starts to unlearn in space
• like the signs were there that she was bisexual on earth but she only starts to unpack it once they start encountering species with different ideas of gender and sexuality
• and she’s generally pretty fem in a way that most people don’t question her sexuality ( including kay, she thinks leah’s straight for like 6 months 😭)
• they’re rivalry is mostly the same except i think it would have an extra gendered layer to it like they’re both women going into a male dominated field i think they’ed get compared to the other at the garrison A LOT!
• and i think that just adds to the resentment on leah’s side but they both realize that they shouldn’t have been put against eachother in the first place and it’s not really either of thems fault
• they still fight tho bc it’s klance duh
• during their rivalry era leah is so miffed that kira had bigger boobs than her btw . like it pisses her off so bad especially bc she does nothing to show them off and does she know how many girls would kill to have tits like that. she later finds out she doesn’t mind them if she’s the one that gets to touch them. anyway
• they have spa/ makeover nights!! it starts as a team bonding thing but as the war picks up it starts to become a Them thing . and leahs not trying to make kay more feminine its more so kay’s never had someone to do this with before and leah is very excited about it. also kay wants any excuse for leah to touch her
• about a year ish into being in space leah does a big hair chop and immediately gets anxiety about it but ends up loving it way more than long hair
• the team ( who isn’t genderbent in my head except maybe allura for drama purposes . oh and pidge nonbinary bc ofc) isn’t quite sure if theyre dating or not and is lowkey too afraid to ask if female friendships are just Like That or not
but yeah genderbent ships are very fun for me to explore! i love seeing how a character is viewed by the world is changed by how they present gender wise. also i love women .
