Throughout the entire month of February for Femuary I was doing a self imposed challenge to draw Jade in a different outfit everyday.

Since today is the last day and I have made the final Jade, I present to you 28 days of Jade!! (+Some extra days cuz why not)

Happy #FEMuary and black history month! I thought I'd start with a black inventor who invented womenly products! This is Mary Beatrice Davison Kenner (1912-2006) who invented the sanitary belt (a belt to keep your pad on) and the sanitary belt with a moisture proof napkin pocket! She basically made the grandma to todays pads! The sanitary napkin wasnt patented til 1956 THIRTY years after she first invented it. The company that first showed interest in it rejected the ides once they found out she was an African American woman. So if you ever had to use a pad or use pads this is the woman to thank!!

Between 1956 -1987 she recieved 5 patents for her inventions she also invented a tissue holder for the bathroom , a back washer mounted on the bath or shower wall, and a carry attachment for a walker! 

She was also a professional floral arranger and had her own business in the DC area

 So here's to Mary! Thank you for your contributions ! You have made so many girls periods easier!!

Hey! So I know that Manuary is over but...

That doesn’t mean that male positivity has to be. It’s still an alright thing to reblog positivity posts and make some new ones! Positivity doesn’t have to be regulated to a single month, it can be year round. But also! Don’t try to take away from other people’s positivity posts! Never do that! Everyone deserves positivity!

Liking traditionally feminine things does not make a person any less badass or strong! It doesn't make a person any less of who they are, either. Girls with feminine traits are great! Boys with feminine traits are great! Nonbinary people with feminine traits are great! Femininity is not weakness. Femininity is not bad, boring, or weak. 

And if you personally don't like traditionally feminine things, that's totally cool too! You're great all the same.
