Just some ideas off the top of my head:

1. Weeks in, when he’s missing, they all leave a message for Shiro. This wasn’t planned. Nobody knows the others are doing it. Nobody tells each other about it. They just miss him. Keith’s is the shortest and Lance’s is obviously the longest and Pidge tries three times before she can finish one without crying which nobody knows upon pain of actual death.

2. I don’t even want to talk about Keith and Lance. It’s bad. Please imagine how this starts (bad) and how it ends (someone is inviting someone else to Space Prom even though they live on the same castleship aka extremely bad).

3. Hunk’s grandmother thinks Coran is hot, and has told him so.

4. Look, they’re all terrible at talking about their feelings. So if someone is, as mentioned, missing or sick or injured or just in a shitty mood, maybe there will be a message waiting for them later, to find, a little hidden gift that didn’t require any kind of upfront generosity.

5. Hunk and Shay Space Skype EVERY time they get the chance.

6. Another thing nobody knows upon pain of actual death: Pidge has left a message for her future self to open at a specific date and time. It cannot be opened before then. It will be delivered to her after the war is over, after she has her doctorate in xenolinguistics, after she’s saved the world and more importantly her family, and become a hero and a master of tree technology magic and grown all the way into herself so that she hardly recognizes the cranky, exhausted, relentless 15-year-old Katie Holt telling the only person left she totally trusts that she’s scared, but that she’ll make it, and here as she always demands is the proof.

Kombucha: toppings I like are pepperoni or prosciutto, mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, green peppers, ANCHOVIES. I’ll eat…anything on a pizza…except onions. My special favorite is plain cheese pizza with the sauce on top and cheese on the bottom from Manco & Manco in Ocean City. 

Pu-erh: A book I recommend to others is right now is Wonderstuck by Brian Selznick (read it before the movie comes out, although it’s Todd Haynes so the movie will be good) and The Sun is Also A Star by Nicola Yoon.

Burn Bright has had some great moments of characterization in the unique ways Blue and Yellow internalize / subvert #just_a_pearl kinds of thoughts. It's one of my favorite fics I've been following, and I'm always glad to see new chapters go up.

Thank you!! I think about these Pearls way too much and I’m always really happy to hear things like this! I wanted to give them both a distinct approach to it, because they’ve led such different lives from Pearl and from each other, so I think that while it all stems from the same issue of self-worth they experience it differently and cope with it differently. I’m glad this characterization seems to be working, thank you again~!

but the point is, tiny unsettled mako and raleigh piloting a war machine into god’s mountain to TEAR THAT MOTHERFUCKER DOWN

6. Idea that you always wanted to write but could never make work?

god I can't even think of how many fics I've considered but not done. that's mostly just failure to produce though? like, the wips I have I mostly know where they're going, I just don't work on them because I suck. even the verses I really want to write about take me literal years to complete things for so the less-invasive ideas just float on away

and actually I feel like if I ever sat down to write one of those pwps that I'm always jabbering about that I would have a really hard time of it (heh heh heh) because I've only actually written sex scenes a handful of times and all of them were like pulling teeth to choreograph??? plus I lapse into cliché a lot more often with porn, that is what comes of reading so many mediocre kinkmeme fills so :/

12. What WIPs do you have going now? Are you excited about them?

I'm pretty sure cambionverse has at least ten fics that are currently in progress, which is partly because we're rewriting existing fics to fit our later headcanons and partly just because liz and I have no self-control. I'M SUPER EXCITED FOR ENVESSELED AND I'M HOPING IT WILL MAKE AT LEAST SOME OF YOU CRY

the other thing I have been writing on and off for the past year or so is the second episode of novakcest, in which the twins return to pontiac and meet a woman in white. sneak peek:

"I heard just this morning you were back," Sheriff Mills says. "Honestly, though, I didn't believe it. Didn't think Pontiac was ever gonna see your face again." Her gaze flicks behind him. "As it were.”

You and me both, thinks Jacob. "Jimmy came got me," he says.

The look she gives him at that is a little too shrewd for his liking, but all she says is, "He around?"

"Sure, yeah," he says. This is giving him deja vu. "Jimmy! It's for you!" he yells to the house at large. Too late he realizes that this, minus a metric ton of teenage resentment, is exactly what used to happen any time Amelia came over. God, he can't even answer the door without fucking something up. "Come in," he mutters, and watches to see her cross the salt line before going to flush Jimmy out.

I would be the most excited but hahahahaha this will never ever get posted hahahahaha

Vessel prizes... one of those simple, perfect ways leviathans suddenly get to be interesting. (Cambion---even in AUs---does good things with them.)

Leviathans find it so easy to generate bodies for themselves, it must baffle and entertain them so much to see the angels struggle to find ones durable enough to contain them. Look at those weird trueforms! So many thingstiels, so little time! Tetramorph heads: gotta catch em all. Heaven needed redecorating anyway.

...but then their fascination with the humans that are strong enough, the leviathans that break off and transform into carbon copies of human vessels, leviathans inviting angels into themselves and consuming them from the inside out and I think you know where I am going with this

no but you don’t understand how much time I spent convincing myself not to make jacob references during that conversation. what if claire never knew she had an uncle. what if jacob has his own protective enochian in tattoos even more impressive than her scars because goddammit he knows what happened to his brother. what if claire hands him a knife and says "break them." what if jacob takes it, because she's jimmy's daughter.
