I'm definitely under the weather today. I've been freezing all morning to the point of shuddering while wearing a turtleneck and cardigan and being wrapped in a blanket. My nose is running relentlessly, making me need to constantly stop whatever I'm doing so that I can blow it. My tissue box is right beside me and there's a heap of used tissues on the opposite side. My nostrils are already getting chapped from all the blowing I've done today. I've had a fierce tickle in my nose and it's lead to many helpless, messy sneezes. I've been coughing fairly regularly, sometime toggling between a wet cough and a barking one. I'm feeling incredibly fatigued, too. The constant weather flipping has definitely made it so that my Christmas cold hasn't wanted to leave. I've only been awake for a few hours but it feels like my body is trying to pull me under for a nap.

My partner told me this morning on the phone that I sound like I'm coming down with something. He mentioned that I've been much more congested than usual as I'd been doing a lot of dry sounding sniffles. He said my voice sounds more coarse than it usually does. He's usually scarily good at determining the difference between my sick voice and my exhausted voice. I admitted that I was definitely more congested and a bit sneezier than usual. I was trying to insist that it was just allergies since my eyes have been a bit itchy. My throat has been suspiciously scratchy since yesterday, though. When I woke a couple of hours ago I started to get a nagging, stuffy cough going. I hate to admit it, but my partner might be right about me having another cold. I've been extremely stressed and my insomnia has been a lot worse lately. I think my body just got worn down gradually from everything. Damn it. I planned to visit somebody, too, and told them I would. I can't go like this, though. My chest is feeling congested on its own as is. My body deals with too much. My lifestyle is just so inconsistent. I wanted to run errands today but my exhaustion has kept me pushed down in bed. I might have to just try to rest up this holiday. I might go make myself tea and maybe soup. I don't know. I just know my body wants me to take things easily. I hope I can get better in a couple of days. I literally just started a break from work...

This head cold still has my nose plenty itchy. I just did a huge, wet sneeze right into the palm of my hand. The tickle came on so suddenly and had me so desperate that I couldn't even grab a tissue even though the box was within arm's reach. I guess my nose just really wanted to clear some congestion. I'm now a slurpily sniffling mess, snuffling pathetically with my pinkish nostrils. At work my nose was very itchy, as well, but all the sneezes I did there were kitteish ones. I think after countless hours of fruitless effort my nose had just finally had enough. I kept my cough drops on my desk and my handkerchief was often in hand so I could wipe and blow my runny nose. I did my best to sanitize my work station. I don't want anyone to catch my cold. This is very much a nose cold and probably one of the most itchy I've had since the spring. This cold is certainly kicking off cold and flu season with a start. My poor nose feels like it can't get a break with it! It's had me so embarrassed from how runny and sneezy it's had me. It's just really messy. Thankfully I've been met with sympathy and not disgust for the pitiful mess it's made me. My throat has been pretty scratchy and it's made my voice a bit hoarse. I'll likely make myself some tea later to help. I did dose a spoonful of honey, though, at least. For now I'm going to just blow my nose endlessly until I can fall asleep. It tickles so much and is so, so runny since that tremendous sneeze...

It's been a day full of desperate sneezes for me. I've been needing to blow my nose a lot, too. Fatigue has hit me hard, as well. I wonder if I really did catch a cold from stress. I'm not normally this tickly and prone to sneezing. I'm hunkered down in a fuzzy blanket shuddering with chills and sniffling. Maybe it's a good day to nap. I know my body needs the sleep, anyway.

I'm one of those people who can still be really sneezy a few days into a head cold. I've had such a powerful tickle all night, and I swear I've been sneezing once or twice every half hour. It just feels like someone's inducing me. I've had the back of my hand rubbing at my nose almost the entire night. It's to the point where I'm being slightly distracting at work. Thankfully I work pretty secluded, so I'm not being overly annoying to anyone and am keeping my cold to myself. This tickle has been very distracting, though. Once I unleash a sneeze my nose starts tingling all over again. I've been trying to fight them back as much as I can. It's been hard and hasn't really worked. I'm looking forward to sneezing unrestrained at home in a bit.

I've been sneezing so much today. I've lost track of how many times I've sneezed through the day. The sneezes have been so itchy and messy. I've been burning through my tissues. I'm just really snotty today. My body is still trying to get me to sleep more. I've been fussy and resistant all day, but I won't be surprised if I drift off soon. I feel like I need a mug of tea for my scratchy throat, but I feel like I'd drift off and let it go cold if I made some.
