Cloud had been through a lot in his time. He came across as rude at first until you got to know him better. It was only a slight surprise to his friends when you and him got together. As time went on, he became better. He was slightly more open, and he didn’t talk much, but he was able to handle himself a little better in a conversation. He never talked about his dreams; you didn’t know if he even had any. Everyone had to dream of something, but he didn’t know. It wasn’t until you and him shared a bed.
The moon shone brightly in the dark sky. The stars twinkled in the quiet night. You lay next to Cloud; the window slightly cracked with the breeze from the cool night gently blowing in every so often. You were both sound asleep; the curtains blew back and forth as the breeze came and went. The bed slightly stirred, but yet you remained asleep.
Cloud rolled over; his face tightened and relaxed. You were gone when he woke up. He walked around the house looking for you. You weren’t there, and you hadn’t even left a note letting him know you were gone. He worried about you, but maybe it was an accident; maybe you had forgotten. He pulled out his phone and sent the text. He stayed looking at his phone, hoping you would text him back, hoping that you were alright. It was only a few minutes, but it felt like centuries. He wanted you to be back home and safe. There was blood everywhere; he didn’t know what to do or what to say. He didn’t know how it had happened. He wanted you to be safe, but he knew you wouldn’t be coming home. He wanted to see you again, but not like this. He wanted…
Tears spilled down his cheeks as he woke up. You were lying on his chest; he wrapped an arm around you tightly. He didn’t say anything. He didn’t want to wake you. He didn’t want to bother you with his problems, and he didn’t want to say the nightmare that he had. He wanted you to be safe, and he would protect you. You were awake; you had felt Cloud moving around, and you had tried to gently wake him and make sure that he was okay. He didn’t respond, and then he started crying. You were worried for him, so you laid down on his chest. You didn’t say anything,t respond, and then he started crying. as you didn’t know what to say to help the situation. For a moment, you thought about asking him a few questions, but you didn’t think he would answer. You also didn’t want to bother him, as he was always closed off at times. You lifted your head up to look at him. He placed a gentle hand on your cheek as his eyes met yours.
“You’re here?” He asked as he looked at you. It was a small question; he didn’t ask anything else. He wanted to make sure that you were here. He didn’t want to be wrong. He didn’t want this to be a dream.
“Yes, I’m here. You’re okay, and so am I.” You said with a small smile. He smiled back and pulled you closely for a hug. You didn’t know what his dream was; you couldn’t possibly know what had happened, but he loved what you said.
