Thank you! I did exceptionally well (uh, because I'm PERFECT of course!)

I also took a 1 credit course that I got an A in but I don't have access to it anymore because it was truncated.
Did the migraine go away after all was said and done? No of course not. But at least I don't have to do math and have a headache at the same time!
Ok but like with the tags on that last RB: It genuinely is really funny when people, AND EVEN SQUARE NOW, characterize Sephiroth as this sexy mind-fucking villain guy. I think it’s a very interesting moment that started with fans reacting to the amount of emotional power he had over Cloud as a villain, and combined with him just being hot, starting to sexualize that in their heads. And then Squenix taking note and upping the camp in Remake, because they upped EVERYTHING in Remake.
But Like,,, the truth is that Sephiroth as a person had no sexual agency at all. He was a husk of a man before he went crazy, and even though Shinra threw his image around and he was seen as a celebrity, that never reached him. You can tell just in how he acted at Nibelhiem - he was just business and formality because he knew nothing else in his life but his job. Even once he lost it and fell into a reactor and became an eldritch god, he never uses sex appeal or romance to manipulate anyone in the party. He’s fucking scary and has an insanely intimidating presence in the game, but it’s just purely vengeful sadism. And then once you do face him head on, the guy has nothing to say to you except silence, as he morphs into fucked up god abominations and does 6 minute long summon animations.
I do think its really interesting to think about how Sephiroth’s sex appeal works, as an iconic and impactful video game villain, and as a person within the world who was paraded around as a perfect military mascot - but like he isn’t a sexy person, he was just depressed and then he was ESTUANS INTERIS IRA VEHEMENTI. I especially like thinking about the idea that Cloud may have had like a celebrity crush on him, and the extra layer of annoying that adds to Sephiroth tormenting him, but I don’t like the idea of Sephiroth specifically trying to manipulate him with his sex appeal. Like FFS Sephiroth was a 20-something y/o when he met Cloud as a 16 y/o.
I think in Remake the idea is that this isn’t just Sephiroth who fell into the lifestream and ate eternal knowledge, but Sephiroth who then fell into some time-multiverse BS so now he acts like this? But it’s still annoying, I wish if Squenix wanted to exploit- I MEAN TALK ABOUT Sephiroth’s sex appeal they could’ve done it in a less corny way. I also think discussion of this game would be more fun if Sephiroth wasn’t just called a sexyman, and people stopped fucking shipping his grown ass with someone he knew when they were an impressionable kid.
I only ever started using them properly when i was probably mid to late game, i never really knew what exactly to do with them cuz i’m just lazy to smelt them until one day i just got sick with the almost full inventory of my FAs and i just wanted to clear them out.
So i actually looked into guides online to which FAs i should use and stuff liddat and the difference was so big. They did so much more dmg than ever and that kinda shooked me but not rly either xD
USE YOUR FAs
2. Farming for fame in restaurant
This is also another that i really didn’t know about until late game as well. I was just cooking whatever i wanted cuz why not but in order to lvl up your restaurant, you need fame and i came across some people giving out tips on the official discord regarding cooking so i took em ya know
Butter bread and pineapple juice
butter bread is the best for farming for both gold and fame, pineapple juice is more for fame but it’s good too.
the bad thing bout them is, they take a “short” while to cook so you have to go back into the game constantly but most of us don’t have time for that LOL.
So i looked into the attributes of recipes: flavor is for fame, texture is for gold, aroma is for customer flow and appearance is for reduction of cost.
I looked into the dishes that had high flavor, as well as the time taken to consume them but ultimately, it also depends on how you play. Thus, it’s good enough to concentrate on flavor and texture when cooking.
And here comes my 3rd point
3. Gold is important to an extent
You won’t know how much gold you will spend until you get to that pop-up which says “You have insufficient gold”
I was once chilling in my in-game gold coins ya know, sipping on my mango smoothie just living the in-game high life.
But things like fusions, enhancements and even fishing bait cost so much and once i started farming for fame, used my FAs properly, money just seems to be so insignificant. Dropping like flies like no one’s business.
Solution is: texture , balcony orders(provided you use souvenirs that increase gold), cutting down on bait and all that..
4. Save le stamina
Again, something i didn’t know bout till i chanced upon a post. I’m not really a competitive player so I wasn’t really aware about gate of trials, ikr i’m living under a rock.
I do know that there are artifacts and stuff like that but to me, they just seemed to be like extras and stuff that i didn’t really bother about. Because to get energy, you gotta have cards and stuff like that and i didn’t have much of that either.
Anw, i started to save on stamina, from bentos, the tip shop and not spending it on ingredients so more fishing...which means more bait, which means more money, which means insufficient
5. Join an active guild
I was in an inactive guild for the longest time ever since the start of my FF journey until i read a post on tumblr. It was quite sad ngl cuz there was this other active member. We didn’t talk but ya know it feels sad to leave them behind ;.; i wonder where they are now
I left anw, and got into an active guild, again big difference. You will get more benefits...you basically will get more benefits.
6. Being active daily
I have 111 days not signed in from the previous months and it pains me to see that huge bar of red on the activeness streak report.
You don’t have to go active active, just reach 100 for activity daily and that’s enough.
I’m sure most of you would’ve known all of these LOL, it just took me research and chance-upons to know even more bout progression in the game
Frankly, the tutorial at the start of the game wasn’t the most informative, it just gave the basics of what you need to know, hell i didn’t even know there were restaurant tasks until mid-game not even kidding
At least new journey gave a “guide” on artifacts which i don’t rmb the other ver. having but oh wells.
Anyway these are things i should’ve known from the get go, feel free to include more stuff and discuss what nots xD
I’m done complaining about ff7r but i really do need to make some giant comprehensive essay on why Kuja is so cool and how I think I’ve maybe seen..... 5... fan things ever that understand him. I feel like its a bit hard to explain what makes him so nuanced cause at the end of the day he is just an evil cunt with a sad backstory, but theres a very purposeful level of lack of control he has over his fate as a villain that makes him so interesting. Lots of ff villains are tortured blorbo, but he is like existentially metanarrative tortured blorbo, hes on another level and i adore him more than anything else on this earth.
The thing that makes me know im not just projecting onto him like an insane person and that he really is intended to be deep is Dissidia Duodecim. His characterization in that as being depressed as hell because of the state of the limbo world hes in and the one person he ever cared about forgetting him and being taken advantage of and manipulated by Kefka - LIKE THE WRITERS GET IT!! They know he’s just a lonely mentally ill freak who cant communicate.
Also that one interaction he has with Cloud is the best Kuja writing I have ever experienced. Like:
Kuja, internally: (i am so fucking depressed....)
Kuja: "(unnecessarily theatrical jargon)”
mmm back with thoughts that nobody asked for for that kusakabe role swap au
cause I’m thinking about pillars and guardians and the irreplaceability of each pair, which means I’m thinking about Arthur still being Shinra’s guardian in this au
but in a world where Shinra is taken by the evangelist instead of Sho, I still can’t imagine Arthur being actually sworn to the evangelist or supportive of her goals in any way
which would mean that in this au Arthur has sworn his fealty to Shinra, and Shinra alone. what Shinra desires and commands is what’s done. any of the white-clad could give him commands, but it isn’t until Shinra gives him a look that they’re followed. maybe he even shows outright disdain for Haumea and other white-clad members, but he goes along with them because Shinra is within their ranks, and he would never jeopardize Shinra’s standing among them
in this world he truly is Shinra’s knight, and I’m just picturing all these themes and moods of royalty and decorum that you see in historical dramas for example, the quiet loyalty and dedication of a knight given so earnestly and effortlessly to his prince. even knowing his prince is headed on a path toward destruction, if it’s what his prince truly desires, then it will be done
