Various Holly Headcanons

I’m doing a list of hcs for a few characters today, this is Holly’s.  I did Artemis, Juliet, Butler, Foaly, and Minerva earlier, so check those out if you haven’t! Okay, here goes:

Holly gets her hair gel from Myles now (she discovered his method of making it with seaweed and it doesn’t make her scalp itch as much as the LEP issue hair gel.) Lazuli delivers it when she can’t make it to the surface.

The first time Artemis gives her a cup of coffee she’s up shaking for two days. It’s much more potent than sim-caf and SO MUCH better tasting. Holly can never go back to that muck now.

Holly makes extra excuses to come up to the surface just for the phenomenal coffee Butler brews (she likes it black with cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom)

Holly loves video games! She and Juliet bond over the WWE games. However, she prefers solo games like Witcher 3 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

She has little rituals that she performs on the anniversary of her mom’s death, as a way of remembering and connecting with her. These are things like cooking a certain dish, reading the story her mother used to read her every night until she was twenty, doing yoga, etc. 

She misses her mom a lot. Like, a LOT, a lot. She thinks about her almost every day. When she lost the omnitool her mom gave her as a graduation present, she was inconsolable (luckily Mulch returned it once he realized how much it meant to her.)

She kind of... Adopts Lazuli? Their relationship is canon to some extent, but let me just say that Lazuli has a drawer at Holly’s place and she’s right next to Holly and Trouble at every crunchball game they attend.

Kara and Kate getting coffee together while in-costume

"Hello, welcome to Noonan's, can I take– holy shit," their waitress fumbles with the menu, nearly dropping it when she looks up.

To be fair, they must be quite the sight– Batwoman and Supergirl, waiting in line to get some coffee. Kara is pretty sure there's still cement dust in her hair.

"Hi, we'd like two lattes and like, a dozen donuts?" She looks inquisitively at Kate, earning a small shrug in reply. "Yeah, we'll start with a dozen."

"Uh, sure?" The girl blinks, still looking dazed, "I mean, it'll be– on the house, of course, I, uh. Thank you for your service?"

"Not military," Kate grunts and she's using her voice modulator thingy, and Kara bets it's just to sound more intimidating because she's doing the stoic thing, but her eyes are sparkling– she's amused. 

Kara hides her smile. "But we appreciate the sentiment," she makes a mental note to drop by later and stuff the tip jar full. "Right, we'll just– " gesturing vaguely towards the tables, dragging Kate with her as she makes a beeline to the farthest one, nearly at the back and with no other patrons around.

There's even poor lighting, so Kate should feel right at home. “We’ll probably be trending on twitter later,” Kara points out, hearing the clicks of cameras around and shushed whispers.

“Great,” Kate snorts, voice back to normal, “I’m sure Vesper Fairchild will have a field day.”

“We can leave if you want?” She offers, hesitating before covering Kate’s gloved hand with her own. After all, this might be a date, right? It might, but it also might be just two friends getting coffee after kicking some ass and it’s not like Kara is going to just ask and make everything awkward. It’s probably not, that’s just wishful think, yeah, so she should probably– 

Kate turns her hand, intertwines their fingers, smiles. Genuinely smiles. “Hey now, you were hungry. What kinda date would I be if I left you go hungry?”

Oh. Okay, okay, cool, cool, this is fine, this is totally fine, Kara’s got this, no problemo. So this is a date, okay, Kara is not freaking out, not at all, it’s not like she’s been crushing on Kate for like, the past couple months and it’s not like she tried to ask her out a bunch of times before and ended up chickening out every time, nope. 

“I mean,” Kate clears her throat, pulling her hand back and looking unsure for the first time since the whole universe restarted, and shit, Kara took too long to say anything, didn’t she? “We can leave if you want?” Her voice softens, quietens, “and it doesn’t have to be a date if you don’t want.”

That is what finally snaps Kara out of it. “No, no, no– I mean, yes! I want this to be a date! I want very much this to be a date! I mean, let’s stay.”

Kate takes her hand again and it’s been only a little while, but Kara has already missed her smile fiercely. “Let’s stay.”

It’s easy to grin back at Kate, giddy and stupidly happy, like the sun is shining inside her, like they’re the only two people in all the Earths, like she’ll die if she ever stops looking at Kate. Sure, tomorrow there’ll be a thousand comments and articles about their date, there’ll be speculation and opinions, and there’ll be chatter over it for weeks, but it’s whatever.

None of it matters, not when she is here, on a date with the girl she loves, and everything is as happy endings should be.

Various Foaly Headcanons

I’m doing a list of hcs for a few characters today, this is Foaly’s. I did Artemis, Juliet, Butler, Holly, and Minerva earlier, so check those out if you haven’t! Okay, here goes:

After the fairy made Artemis Fowl movie debuted in Haven Foaly was offered a brand deal with one of Haven’s high end fashion designers to design tinfoil hats for their Artemis Fowl inspired collection.

Foaly tells the BEST dad jokes. Seriously, the best. His kids hate him for it.

Foaly’s favorite human musician is David Bowie.

The day Caballine proposes to him is the first time Foaly is ever rendered speechless.
