Doodles of Ciel as a Miqo'te from FFXIV bc this was an idea in my head that's been gnawing at me and it's only been kindled with that JRPG art Yana made of Ciel and Sebastian.

I've been missing FFXIV and happened to get my hands on the second Kuro artbook. When flipping through, I saw this piece from Yana

I'm always reminded that Square Enix is Black Butler's publisher, and then this art had me making up ideas of what classes and races Ciel and Sebastian would be in the world of FFXIV.

I really kept juggling between drawing Ciel as a Miqo'te or a Viera bc of Bitter Rabbit, but he's just such a cat that I couldn't resist making him a catboy. I didn't know what class he would be (seeing as Sebastian would carry them LOL) but Black Mage is my bias since that's the first class I started with.

I'm still struggling thinking of what race to draw Sebastian as - it's between Au Ra and Viera at the moment - but I did for fun make a Au Ra design for Seb in the character creator. Same with him, I don't know what class to first draw him as but Yana's art makes me want to draw him as a Red Mage first to just get the idea out there.

I don't know if I'd make a full blown AU of this because that's a lot of work and I don't have many Kuro fandom friends to yap with, let alone someone who knows it AND FFXIV, so this is will just be my personal brainworm for now <3

I know it's old news by now, but some friends were just talking about it yesterday, so I've been thinking about: I can't be the only one who absolutely fucking loathes the Fall Guys FFXIV event, right?

Like, it was so infuriatingly unfair, all the mechanics were utter bullshit, and it was clearly broken (getting hit by things you've obviously cleared). Absolutely nothing about that event was fun.

The whole point of a crossover is to get you to want to try the game that's crossing over into your game, yeah? This did the exact opposite. I will never ever try actual Fall Guys because I have absolutely zero faith that it could be actually fun.

Like, it left such an intensely negative impression on me that I still feel disgusted when I see the mount or the outfit or the mascots because it makes me think of the event.

And then they brought it back a second time just a few months later??? When they could have done a fun event instead???

I legitimately don't understand how anyone enjoyed it.

With the EW spoiler embargo up on the bird app, it’s been funny seeing Hades trending under video games and not knowing if they’re talking about the XIV character or the Supergiant game. Which lead a Twitter mutual to mention a crossover. Specifically Hythlodaeus snarking it up as Hypnos. …so I had to quickly draw it.
