and i dont thinks its an ego thing either. no, he geuinely enjoys cooking...he just happens to really enjoy the look of pure bliss when his partner is savoring every grain, every note of flavor

he just comes up to your door knocking trying to see if you' d be interested in some food he'd made earlier. at your door he'd told you that he'd just so happened to make just too much dinner that night and he would hate to know his hard work would be wasted so, why not share the rest with you, his sweet reclusive neighbor. so you take his gifts, bid him a good night, enjoy some good food, and call it a day.

and thats it.

of course this wont be the only encounter you'll have with the man. in fact, you meet him at your doorstep much sooner than you'd anticapted. and once again he comes baring gifts. more food. more sweets. just more of anything he'd think you'd like

Late Nights

I know I said I was gonna post something from the poly!au I have set up but I've run into a block trying for a part of the first piece. 😫😭

Gladio paused as he stepped into his room, one foot across the threshold and his hand still holding the doorknob, when he caught sight of you curled up in his bed. He realized you were asleep and wondered how long you had been there, how you even got in in the first place. Not an overly loud person in the safety of his room, he put even more effort into making sure he didn't wake you as he shut the door and went about changing. His amber eyes softened when he stood at the side of his bed, just looking down at you as you slept on, unaware of your audience.

Gladio watched your brows furrow slightly, face scrunching, as he gently caressed your cheek before your expression was smoothing out. You nuzzled into his palm with a sleepy sound, brows furrowing once more as you squinted up at him while still mostly asleep. As you moved, the light coming in from the window hit your face just right for your confidant to finally see the barely there tear tracks going down your cheeks and he felt his heart clench.

"Mm?" You tried again, bringing your hand up to touch his wrist.

"Sorry," Gladio finally spoke up, climbing into bed with you when you scooted back to make room. "I didn't mean to wake you. I just didn't expect to see you this late."

This late?

That had your eyes opening fully and you were reaching out to him this time, cupping his face in between your palms and rubbing one of your thumbs lightly across his cheek. You watched as his eyes fell shut, the tension draining from his body as he lay there, letting you do what you wanted, trusting you. You could tell that, even without him saying anything else, it had been an exhausting day for him, just as it had been for you.

Gladio leaned towards you as you gently pulled his head closer and practically melted into the mattress when you placed a soft kiss to his forehead, your lips lingering. He cracked an eye open to look at you when you rolled onto your back, letting go of his face in the process. The warm smile you offered him was the only invitation he needed to move closer, curling into you, laying his head on your chest as you wrapped your arms around him and one of his went across your waist.

For now, you'd push aside the argument that had sent you running, crying, to find the comfort you knew he'd be able to provide once he was back. Making sure Gladio knew you were there was far more important. You hoped you gave him even a fraction of the safety and comfort you experienced in his presence, pressing one final goodnight kiss to the top of his head.

Everything else? It could wait for morning to dawn and tomorrow to come.

"We can talk in the morning." you promised.

Chocobros w/ an S/O who loves Disney

A/N; So, I’ve never actually done one of these before. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated!

Noctis

•Would not know what the hell was happening the first time he walked in on you singing along to Part of Your World into a hairbrush

•At this point though he’s usually more concerned if doesn’t hear you sing at least one Disney related song a day

•Definitley denies ever having watched a Disney film before dating you

•He still won’t acknowledge that time you caught him listening to the Mulan soundtrack.

•Claims that he only watches the films to make you happy

•But when you go too long without having a marathon he gets concerned.

•He does admit to liking a handful of Disney films, like Hercules. “Only the manly ones, Y/N.”

•The one that gets him everyone though is The Fox and the Hound dog.

•"WHY DIDN’T YOU TELL ME SOMEONE DIED?!“

•"It’s not a tear. It’s just dark in here, you’re seeing things.

My first headcannon, I hope this was okay

Noctis -

“Noct, I feel like I’m gonna pass out...”

Doesn’t even get a chance to understand what you said correctly before you pass out on the floor

Luckily, his reflexes were fast and was able to catch you before you hit your head

Instant panic mode

The hell happened??

So many questions but never mind that, he has to make sure you’re okay

Shaking your shoulders and calling your name to wake up

Holds you in his arms as he calls Ignis

Having a total meltdown on the phone but you wake up a minute later

“Noct?”

Hugs you tightly against his chest and drops the phone

“Don’t scare me like that again!”

Goes to get you some water

Turns out you were dehydrated

From then on out, Noctis always makes sure you stay hydrated.

Ignis is still on the other line worried as hell

Prompto-

Hears a small thump from the other room

“Y/n? Everything okay?”

Goes to check up on you and sees you passed out on the floor

“Y/n???”

Will freak out but wouldn’t have an absolute meltdown

The poor boy already has tears

What to do what to do??

Remembers stuff Ignis once told him

Starts shaking you and patting your face to see if you’ll wake up

Places you on the couch and gets you a damp rag to place on your forehead

Checking your face and head since he couldn’t catch you

You wake up a few minutes later and try to get up

“y/n no, lay down. You just passed out.”

Instantly checking your face and body again to make sure you’re really okay

Hugs you and starts giving you endless amounts of kisses

Bless this child

Turns out you got up too fast

“Next time, take it easy okay? I was really worried”

Gladio -

Boy can this man walk

The man can do distance but you can’t keep up

Your legs just aren’t cooperating with you

You struggle to breathe as fatigue takes over you and you become lightheaded

Everything goes blank

You wake up later at camp and see you’re in a tent.

“Huh? Wasn’t I just walking?”

You walk out the tent to see Gladio talking to Ignis before he notices you

Rushes to your side

“Hey, get back in there”

“No Gladio I’m fine”

“If you were fine, you wouldn't’ have passed out. Should’ve said the walking was too much for ya. You know I would’ve stopped.” he said as he caressed your cheek

Feeling a bit embarrassed that you didn’t say anything

Doesn’t matter anymore

Ignis made food while you were out so Gladio helps you to a plate to regain your strength

Cuddles all afternoon

Ignis -

“Y/n? You’re looking rather pale”

That’s cause you were at the point of passing out

Work was rough, everything wasn’t going so great so it was taking a toll on you

Feeling lightheaded and dizzy, the last thing you heard was Ignis calling your name before you passed out

Mother instincts kick in

Tbh, he has the most experience of dealing with this out of all the guys

Not that he’s always dealing with someone who passes out but he has knowledge about it

Sweeps you up bridal style and lays you down somewhere comfortable

Brings you a damp rag for your forehead as well (at least we know Prompto payed attention to Ignis and not Noct smh)

Has water prepared for you when you wake up

Makes sure your clothes aren’t too tight so you can breathe (removing your jacket if you’re wearing one)

When you wake up, Ignis was already there

“Love, are you alright?”

You swear you’re fine but there’s no way he’s letting you fly by with that answer

Already knows you passed out due to stress so he called your job and requested you get a few days off

Wants to pamper you and help you relax

Maybe a nice, relaxing bath?

Gladio Headcannons

- would kill several men for any of his friends, and Iris

- understands that Iris needs her space and needs to learn the ways of the world, so isn’t smothering to her

- however, gets in a few good ‘I told you so’ moments after she makes big mistakes

- wants a big dog someday

- sleeps in boxers or naked, very warm when he sleeps, but his hands and feet get cold very fast

- dated around a whole lot and is on pretty good terms with most of his ex’s. Occasionally meets some of them for coffee. Genuinely happy when they say they’ve found someone they really love.

- except for the one but he avoids her like the plague so it’s fine

- loves cup of noodle because it was his cheat meal when he first started working out

- has benched Noctis (can lift both him and Prom above his head at the same time). Has photographic proof somewhere on his finsta

- will occasionally work out with Iggy (the only one who can at least somewhat keep up)

- opens up to Prompto (that kid has that effect on most people). Talks about how he’s afraid of not being strong enough, about not being able to help Noct enough. Has some anger issues, but Prom is usually able to talk him through them. Older!Gladio is committed to working through his anger and other emotions

- his dad was his hero growing up. Always wanted to spend more time with him, but never could because of his busy schedule

- mom died when Iris was young. Really took on a guiding role for her after that

- sleeps with his hair in a braid when it’s long enough

- learned how to braid from Iris
