WHEN  HE  RETURNS  TO  THEIR  ROOM,     she’s  laying  on  the  floor,  playing  dolls  with  their  toddler  after  the  child  had  basically  guilted  her  into  it.  ariel’s  becoming  quite  the  little  con  -  man,  but  like  father,  like  daughter,  she  supposes.    (   like  viviana’s  one  to  talk.   )    and  the  blood  queen  smiles  up  at  him  as  he  greets  her  and  their  daughter.  and  there’s  a  silence  that  stretches  between  them  after  that   ---   besides  the  little  girl’s  rambling   ---   as  viviana  considers  something  that’s  been  on  her  mind  for  awhile  now.  finally,  she  works  up  the  courage  to  just  ask  him  already.
